In response to recent Supreme Court decisions weakening protections for LGBTQ+ youth, UDTJ is making a concerted effort to expand affirming, trauma-informed programming in Delco to reduce isolation, prevent harm, and connect individuals to safe, evidence-based resources.
Unfortunately, Pennsylvania is one of the states that might be effected as a result of this ruling.
You are not alone. You deserve to be supported for exactly who you are. UDTJ will continue to stand with and for our community.
This week, we'll be holding space at our Teen Safe Space Social this Thursday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the UDTJ Community Center.
We are also relaunching our expanded youth safe space programming to create more consistent, affirming spaces where young people can connect, feel supported, and access resources.
This isn't 2016... Delco is ready to defend, protect, and show up for our community.
The Supreme Court should be ashamed protecting child abuse. Silence is violence, and this is simply a question of bodily autonomy and one's right to self expression.
We refuse to allow the narrative today on TDOV to be anything but that our LGBTQIA+ community cannot change who they are.
We cannot change who we are.
We cannot change who we are.
We cannot change who we are.
We cannot change who we are.
We cannot change who we are.
You are loved. We are loved. No Court on earth can rule our community out of existence.
