Do you know about HB517?
HB517 calls for VOLUNTARY autism identification on an individual's driver's license of ID card.
HB517 is currently being reviewed by the PA State House of Representatives Transportation Committee.
Pennsylvania is currently one of only 14 states the DOES NOT have some kind of voluntary autism identification program and/or mandatory training for law enforcement.
Please understand, this post is just to state some facts. It is not political or designed to anger anyone. Any proposed identification is completely VOLUNTARY.

The Center for Autism Research at CHOP, in collaboration with Valley Forge Education Services and the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute, invites you to join us for the 2025 Autism Fathers Conference on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Valley Forge Education Services.

This conference is a unique opportunity for fathers of individuals with autism to connect, learn, and grow in a supportive environment. Whether you're looking to gain new insights, share experiences, or find resources to help navigate the challenges of fatherhood, this event is for you!

Ausomeness Inc. is working to redevelop an important program aimed at improving communication between law enforcement and individuals on the Autism spectrum during traffic stops. This program will be used across the state and recognized by all state and municipal police officers, as well as first responders.

We want YOUR input! Whether you're an individual with Autism, a family member, caregiver, advocate, or professional—your perspective is crucial.
