Below is the latest info on the Parade. We will have a truck to ride on but no transportation to or from the parade. Please help spread the word. This year, all American Legions will march together - in other words, we're not going to be spread out through the parade. Our Department Commander, Craig Wilhelm, will be in attendance and march/ride at the beginning of our delegation, followed by us - the Philadelphia County Council and then any other Pennsylvania Posts that march on their own.

The 8th Annual Philadelphia Veterans Parade will be held on Sunday, November 6th, 2022 at 12 PM and is being televised on Channel 6. The parade concludes at North 5th Street and the Veterans Festival takes place up to 3:30pm between 3rd & 5th Sts on Market St.

The Philadelphia County Council American Legion is part of ALPHA 1 (2 through 30) and will be staging between 16th & 17th on JFK Blvd. MARCHERS do not need to arrive until between 10:30am – 11am

Don't Forget - Daylight Savings Time Ends on November 6th - at 2am on November 6th, you push your clocks BACK one hour !

PORT-A-POTTIES: For your convenience there will also be 5 Port a Potties in the staging area. 2 will be located at 16th & JFK and another 3 at 17th & JFK

I had the greatest opportunity today to witness Lt. Col Andrew Bilinski's promotion to Colonel at St. Valentine's Church in Bridesburg. Col Bilinski is not only an active duty Doctor in the US Army Medical Corp he is also Catholic priest and Chaplain of the Boleslaw Growchoski Post 396 American Legion. In his remarks, Father Bilinski stressed the importance of service to the community. State and Nation and devotion to God. Following the ceremony and Mass there was a reception in the Parish Hall. Great Day
