Yazdanian Fund

To help alleviate food insecurity for students attending Community College of Philadelphia (CCP). These are the main reasons for dropout rates for CCP students.

The "Yazdanian Fund" was established in 2019 at the Community College of Philadelphia Foundation (CCPF) for the specific goal of helping CCP students with access to food and ultimately success in their pursuit of higher education. CCP serves more than 17,000 students from all over Philadelphia (www.ccp.edu ). He was astonished to learn that 56% of its students suffer from food insecurity and housi

ng instability and that an astonishingly large number, 19% , are homeless. It’s easy to imagine that without sufficient food to eat most students will have trouble learning.
