What a fantastic start to the week at Richard Wright Elementary School for the Remake Learning Days event! The theme, "Bloom into Learning: Wonder, Explore and Learn Together!" encouraged students to dive into interactive STREAM stations that sparked serious curiosity, creativity, and collaborative problem-solving. From beginner coding and simple engineering to literacy-infused storytelling labs, it was incredible to see caregivers and students side-by-side as co-learners, proving that exploration always triumphs over perfection.

A massive thank you to Richard Wright Elementary for being such a welcoming host site, and a huge shoutout to all the R2S team members whose hard work and assistance made this day an absolute success—together, we didn't just imagine what's possible, we learned together! 🌸✨

In honor of International Family Day, this week's literacy activity is something for the whole family to enjoy together. Create a short story, with a twist! Each family member has to write one page of a story and pass it along to the next person until the story is complete. Good luck and Happy International Family Day! 📚

We couldn't let School Principals' Day go by without acknowledging all the hardworking and dedicated principals across the district, especially our very own Sakia Beard-Brinkley, Director of the R2S LITE Program, who was awarded the Lindback Award for Distinguished Principals! 🎉 Sakia, we are SO proud of you and the value you bring into every space you enter.
