Send your positive vibes to this crystal grid I set-up on the Aries Full-moon for the healing of the heart, body and spirt to Murfreesboro, TN community past and present. This grid will remain active until the New Moon in Libra on Fri, Oct. 16th.

This city was the site of a major America Civil War Battle that took place from Dec. 31, 1862 through Jan. 2, 1863. Approximately, 23,000 causalities occurred, making Stones River one of the deadliest battles in this war.

Adding to this, many families were forced to both witness the carnage and take wounded Union soldiers into their homes. When the Union forces captured the city, they threatened the entire town and all of its occupants with annihilation if the Confederate forces returned. Imagine living here at this time during the war and the generational wounds it created.

Yes, one could argue the Southern states were wrong with breaking away from the Union over slavery and committed a treasonous act. From my readings, the Northern states weren't without "sin" in how they conscripted slaves into the Union forces with the promise of freedom from their former masters. Black people continued to battle prejudice for over a century as the Civil Rights movement dawned in the mid-20th century. And are still fighting today for peace, justice and the right to exist.

With Murfreesboro and the Stones River Federal park is also the Trail of Tears where the pain and sorrow of the Cherokee people still resonates today as they were forced from their ancestral home in southeastern Tennessee to walk the Trail all the way to Oklahoma.
