The Wilmington Fire Department held a graduation ceremony honoring the 43rd recruit academy on Thursday, August 1st. This ceremony celebrated the successful completion of a three-month training academy in order to become Wilmington, DE firefighters. Out of 135 applicants, 15 candidates were selected for the academy. By completing this academy, each of the recruits attained national certifications as Pro Board Firefighters and Nationally Registered EMT's. Congratulations to Lorrie Praeger and all the new recruits! The graduation of the 43rd recruit academy is a remarkable achievement, and Lorrie’s success is especially noteworthy given her dual role as Lieutenant of APD Explorer Post #2900 and part-time dispatcher for APD. It's inspiring to see such dedication and commitment to service. Here’s to a bright future filled with even more accomplishments!
