Comfort for Africa is gearing up to host a transformative Trauma Healing Workshop, creating a safe space for individuals to confront their past, find solace, and embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery. Dates (29 October-31 October) 2025 & Time (8:30 am - 4 pm).

Comfort for Africa, in partnership with , had a great day yesterday!
We visited the Ruach Education school in Matata and shared the basics of Eswatini Sign Language with the students and staff. We are thankful for the invitation and welcome from Estelle ‘Jabulile’ Koster and the entire school!

Comfort for Africa is making a positive impact in the Kingdom of Eswatini through Trauma Healing Workshops in different parts of the kingdom, such as Sigcaweni community last week with 17 participants and now with 10 women from Trans World Radio (TWR) , shows their commitment to supporting communities in need.

Signing the books of the Bible.
For the past 2 months the Deaf Church Eswatini has held workshops to discuss and agree on sign names for all 66 books of the Bible. Today a group of Deaf people are creating a video of all the signs. In early August at the next workshop the videos will be shown and members of the Deaf community will be able to see, discuss, and debate the quality of the sign names. CFA’s program coordinator Bongani T. Dlamini is recording the videos.

It was a historic week as Comfort for Africa held our first Trauma Healing group that was conducted entirely in siSwati. Led by our team of apprentice facilitators: Bongani, Bhest, Mncedisi, and Ncamsile, the program covered the core lessons as well as two mini topics.

About Comfort for Africa

Comfort for Africa is an organic partnership between emaSwati and Americans operating in the Kingdom of Eswatini. We understand that even as Eswatini is facing a dire situation, there is hope. Our approach is holistic; focusing on spiritual healing, physical healing, education, basic necessities, and economic stimulus. We believe that hope is more than a hug or a word but an action and lifestyle that can expressed by clean water, medicine, education, clothing, and business loans. We want to connect with others who share our passion for one, two, or more of the different branches of Comfort for Africa. We want to know how we can improve the services we offer and incorporate new services into our organization.

Comfort for Africa operated for 10 years under the name “Swaziland Relief.” We changed our name in 2018 because the Kingdom of Eswatini changed their official name from Swaziland, and because over the years our partnerships and concerns have grown beyond the borders of Eswatini to encompass other countries in Southern Africa.
