The NHC-Delaware Member Retreat recap is here!

Members spent the day building relationships, strengthening teamwork skills, sharing experiences, and prioritizing wellness in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month.

From engaging activities to meaningful conversations, the retreat was a reminder that caring for ourselves is just as important as caring for our communities. We are grateful for each member's dedication, service, and commitment to making a difference every day.

Congratulations to our National Health Corps members who are being recognized with service awards! This award is given to members across each operating site who exemplify what it means to go above and beyond—expanding their impact far beyond their roles to meet community needs with dedication and care. Each honoree stands out among an already exceptional group through their unwavering commitment to service, leadership, and meaningful change.

Keep up the great work!

Congratulations Valeria!

Big news at AIDS Delaware!

We’re celebrating the promotion of Valeria Yarborough to Food Pantry and Housing Resources Coordinator.

Valeria brings focus, care, and a clear understanding of what our clients need to stay stable and supported.

She will lead coordination across our food pantry and housing resources, working with vendors, donors, and community partners while staying closely connected to our Medical Case Management team. This role is especially important as our housing supports expand into Kent and Sussex Counties.

She keeps the details moving while never losing sight of the people at the center of the work.

Please join us in congratulating Valeria on this next step. 🙌

It's always a fun time getting out into the community and sharing more about our organization. A special thank you to the William Hicks Anderson Community Center for inviting us to join the College and Career fair today! You might notice there was an extra special guest who stopped by to say hello as well! 😉

We were happy to have a very special guest join us for this month’s member training day to dive into a critical topic: Communication in Public Health.

Members gained valuable tools to support both their service and daily interactions learning the importance of pausing, choosing words with intention, and looking inward to build greater self-awareness in how they communicate.
