Good Morning! Here is the Monday's Motivation Meditation sent to our 2020 WOW sisters.

Can we have a real sister-to-sister talk today?
• With all of the implications of this global pandemic, has it made you blue, disgusted or even down right angry?
• Have you looked in the mirror and seen an image that you’re not comfortable with? Does that depress or upset you?
• Are you overwhelmed by the new obituary column called Facebook due to the continuous breaking of family circles because of this unusual and unprecedented novel disease? It grieves our hearts!
• My response is YES to all of these! I agree wholeheartedly with you on these issues and a whole lot more.

But on this post-Resurrection morning, I bid you greetings of joy and bring exciting news to lift your countenance. JESUS IS ALIVE! {Did you just take a necessary praise break? That was your cue, my sister!}. His unprecedented journey has yielded an unrestricted VIP access pass to the kingdom. The work accomplished on Golgotha Hill has afforded a lifetime of premium benefits and promised blessings for each of us to partake. His resurrection ought to reignite excitement about Jesus, His work and His will for believers in 2020. This wasn’t just a 2,000 years ago fairy tale! This game-changing event in the life of God’s people was the perfect and transformative act that produced eternal security and divine connections to God Himself. Jesus’ completed work at Calvary was the most He could do, but living for Him right now in 2020 is the least we could do to demonstrate our appreciation.

So, my sister, despite all of the circumstances and challenges pressed against our front doors today, REJOICE! You have a reason, a right and an obligation to rejoice. Situations might appear bleak, but you have a celebration pass to activate today!
• Your heart is heavy! God says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
• You’re feeling worried and depressed. Don’t be! “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
• You’re grieving because of the death of a loved one. Be assured that “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)
• You’re struggling because of unexpected unemployment or loss in pay. Understandable, but don’t fret because “My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
• You’re concerned about your child, the closure of school and the way it’s impacting them right now. God’s got it and He has a tailor-made plan just for them. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
• You’re uncomfortable about the pounds you’ve gained or how your hair and nails aren’t done. Don’t worry! God said you are “fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are your works; and that my soul knows right well.” (Psalm 139:14)
• You’re challenged by the quarantining separation requirement. The Bible declares, “The Lord is near to all who call upon Him.” (Psalm 145:18)
• You’re restless and can’t sleep at night. Remember, “When you lie down, you will not be afraid, when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.” (Proverbs 3:24)
• You’re afraid and alone. The word of promise declares, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10)

Sister-girl, GET UP and DRESS UP! You’re beautiful just the way you are! Troubles will come, and some have already hit us, but stand up and walk in the victory given to us by Jesus. There is a blessing right now and on the other side of THROUGH for all of us. To get it, we must press through it! You got this! Why? It’s because He’s got you!

His work – I need to change? Too often, we are so determined to get that "thing" we need, that we may forget that our decisions affect others. Marriages sometimes face conflict because someone in the relationship fails to think of the other person when making decisions. Join us for a transparent discussion focused on how understanding and appreciating the work God has both called and charged our husbands to do strengthens our relationships.

Monday's Motivational Moment (April 6, 2020)

The recent events of our global pandemic have raised levels of mixed emotions in all of us, including anxiety, depression, stress and confusion for some. Plenty of people have found themselves in stoopers, feeling hopeless and despondent even if they wear the badge of Christian. Many of you, during this unprecedented season, have assumed new roles in your lives - teacher, caregiver, head of household, and more - some roles even without your permission or any prior experience. Others have felt closed in within the confines of their home, almost going stir crazy, ready to throw in the towel in defeat!

But wait my sister...... did you peek at your calendar recently? It’s Holy Week, the spiritual pinnacle moment in the life of every born again believer. Recall the events of Jesus with me during this game-changing week in His own private journey (multiple verses throughout the Gospel depict the story, including Matthew 21, Mark 11, Luke 19, John 12). And just like we’re deep in the thick of a life of chaotic events, so was our Savior.
- Multiple kangaroo court trials, defiant leaders rendering senseless verdicts, denials by His own followers (and even some haters), public disgracing moments, trumped up charges for an innocent Man.... But, here’s the key factor: Jesus shouldered all of this, just for you and I!

It was this short span of time (just a few calendar days) which changed the course of events for a lifetime! Jesus’ heroic and messianic efforts have presented us with the greatest gift one could ever receive - ETERNAL LIFE. Aren’t you glad about it? He sacrificed His innocent life for my guilt-ridden life! That’s a reason to celebrate!

My sister, I know COVID-19 and all of its effects have taken this world by storm quickly, and have shaken countless families across this globe. Whether you have been exposed, know someone that has been diagnosed, or know no one at all, each one of us has been affected by this crisis. We see the evidence of this dangerous virus as it spreads rapidly from ocean to ocean, continent to continent. Countless individuals have been impacted, and too many family circles have been broken.

Let me offer you some hope today! When circumstances seem to drain the life out of you and prompt you to fall apart, remember the reassuring words of the Master. Here He decrees in John 10:10 (AMP), “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they [YOU] may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].” Be confident that He’s got you and all of your needs in the forefront of His mind and heart! An abundant life in and with the Master, provided by the King, yields light, life and love for every believer.
- HIS LIGHT will continue to illuminate even when dark clouds overshadow and skies turn grey. Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12, NKJV). Light, even when hidden and camouflaged, will still transmit through the toughest of surfaces. The purpose of light is to carry energy that is necessary to sustain life. Jesus is LIGHT! You, my sister, are light bearers. You have been charged to spread that spiritual energy that will empower and sustain the life of those around you. So, raise your torch for others to see that Christ still lives!
-
- HIS LIFE, although temporarily halted by His own design and decision, has manifested an eternal position for the child of God. Jesus actually came, not for notoriety or fame, but to serve. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). Through His powerful resurrection, we were granted a new lease on life. "I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10). Beloved, you will live because He lives! You will make it!
-
- HIS LOVE, so precious and so innocent, will meet you at the point of your need. It did over 2,000 years ago (and still does today). His abounding love broke the chains of the enemy’s tactics and intentions on Resurrection Sunday. The enemy rendered His powerless, but we know differently. His love saved us, atoned us and delivered us. “This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins” (1 John 4:10). Because of His love, He sacrificed, He suffered, He struggled and died. On the 3rd day, Jesus triumphantly and powerfully rose from the dead. So, the love that Jesus has for you can embrace, comfort, indwell, and keep you during this time. Now that’s real love!

As we approach Resurrection Sunday 2020, CELEBRATE! YES, celebrate in big fashion!!!!! Yes, our traditional and routine ways of celebrating Easter have been altered, but the celebration isn’t predicated upon being at the church house. Your excitement ought to be intrinsic and personal. Easter is the day of victory for the believer…. the greatest day in the Christian faith! Don’t damper the victorious moment because you won’t have a new outfit! Don’t despair because you can’t worship in a physical sanctuary. In your own private sanctuary, allow the sentiments of the resurrection moment to exude from your being with bursting joy and radical excitement!

Each week, as Teaching to Change Lives prepares for the Women of Wellness Conference in September, we share a Monday morning meditation all moment with our sisters! We’ll let you have a sneak peek of today’s devotional.

WOW Monday Morning Meditation Moment #2
March 30, 2020

Edicts.... Mandates.... Directives.... Admonishments to stay away / stay in, socially distance yourself, protect yourself - these are the consistent messages ringing in our ears on around the clock basis. Press conference after press conference, news flash - one after the other displayed prominently across our television screens and news apps. Statistics are ever-changing and systems appear to be failing to devise solutions to the world’s problems. With all of this pandemonium in a current worldwide pandemic, it’s a wonder that anyone of us has not gone stir crazy. Unscheduled “staycations” became a temporary reality for each and every one of us. Real-life solitary confinement in our own homes has the ability to prompt feelings of isolation, imprisonment, exclusion, as well as raise levels of anxiety and depression for many.

But let’s put a twist on this dilemma today!

With all of this time on our hands (as we’re shut in from the world), it is the perfect time to disconnect from social life as we know it and reconnect with your spiritual life. This unscheduled disconnection for man is a WIN-WIN set up for a solid connection with the Master. Yes, there’s a lot to worry about, but all of this should not be a total shock to the believers. Luke 21:11 (ESV) already warned us, “There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.”

Beloved, consider using this time to take a deep (or a deeper) dive into the Word of God, ascertaining what He wants you to see, know and do during this season. There’s nowhere to hustle to; so, why not sit still and quietly at the Master’s feet to hear His gentle voice as He ministers to you. Adjust your lenses to see the beauty of His handiwork - YES, even in this crisis situation. Take full advantage of these precious extra moments, usually consumed with work and other responsibilities, to enjoy personal moments of worship with our Father.

In this season of stillness, the body of Christ still has plenty of work to do. God is activating us, as His deployed sister soldiers, to stand up and contend for the faith even in this wartime season. Consider your GPs today:
- Your General Purpose: We, as believers, were created by our Heavenly Father to solely and wholeheartedly worship Him (John 4:23-24). Our distinct purpose is to glorify Him in all things, even in challenging moments just like this. For many of us as women of faith, our greatest and most intimate moment of worship was birthed in pain, struggle and challenging times. Our purpose right now is to push the kingdom’s agenda: making disciples, connecting people to Christ and to make the name of the Lord great in the earth!

- Your General Posture: In the Bible, Mary, the sister of Lazarus and Martha, modeled the best position of posture for us (Luke 10:38-42)! Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, Mary stopped and took a VIP spot at Jesus’ feet to bask in The Lord’s presence. Hey sis, that sounds good to me. Why not follow suit? Our continual and general posture is to be in the face of God. True worship is a healthy heart’s posture. Our posture of worship identifies our connection with God, informs others of our place in the kingdom, and invites us into one of the most sacred places - the heart of God.

- Your Gender Positioning: Women have been created to serve life-givers (yes naturally, but also spiritually). In most houses of worship, we dominate in number which should amplify our voices in worship, prayer, and praises to the kingdom. Right now, and more than ever, women must position ourselves submissively to our Master, our mate and our ministries. Remember, the order but also remember our purpose. Let us be the human conduits (a conduit is “a channel that conveys water”) that points our families, friends, and strangers to the One who provides that living water of eternal life and hope that never depletes (John 4:13-14).

My sister, we recognize and feel the chaos of the times, but we are not worried! Why? Psalm 46:1 reminds us that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble.” Our marvelous Master has positioned us in a safe zone whereby we are covered, cared for, and conditioned to win! We will get through this victoriously because we’re safe in His arms.
