Long post alert 🚨

A lot of people ask me why I started the Hello Gorgeous Foundation Inc.... Well to be honest I got tired of being sick and tired of the same sexist behavior going on within the workforce and in life in general. I was the only female for 15 years working for this government organization on Ft. Benning, so you can only imagine the kind of discrimination I went through on a daily basis with just that information alone. It was hard. But I pushed through because 1. Ain’t nobody running me away from a check. 2. I always felt like God placed me there for a reason. This organization was that reason. Also, I would call my friend Cassandra often and when she answered the phone I would greet her with a “Hello Gorgeous, how was your day?” Not thinking anything about it because that’s just how I talk. But she stopped me one day and told me how much me saying those words to her lifted her spirits, and how women don’t compliment each other enough and how refreshing it was. I want to make every woman feel that way.... so to sum up why I started the non profit.... I want to show other women how I overcame and still over coming my discrimination situation and reinforce to them how beautiful they are. We’re all about helping women start their own businesses and boosting self esteem at The Hello gorgeous foundation..... So join us at The Hello Gorgeous Foundation Launch Party June 6th in Columbus Ga to celebrate US women and how resilient we are. No matter what life throws our way. I don’t mind good trouble. 💪🏽

The purpose of The Hello Gorgeous Foundation, Inc. is to function as a human rights and empowerment nonprofit, community-based organization operating from the base: the city of Phenix City, Al. The HGF, Inc. was formed to support, develop, and implement initiatives for the empowerment of women, women of color, and women who are marginalized in communities across America, especially those that are historically disadvantaged based on race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, immigrant status and in general disadvantaged due to gender, and the discriminate and disparate treatment of women. We may also be involved in a wide range of community services that meet local needs such as education, financial planning/training, legal services, mental health and therapy and other social programs related to affordable and fair housing.
