The Kentucky Department of Education’s Office of Career and Technical Education is seeking a Technology Student Association (TSA) State Advisor / Education Program Consultant to support student leadership development and Career and Technical Education programs across Kentucky.

This position provides leadership and technical assistance for TSA, Engineering, Computer Science, Aviation and Media Arts programs while working with educators, students and industry partners throughout the Commonwealth.

Every year, the Kentucky Derby quietly reminds us of something easy to overlook…

It’s not always the favorite who wins.
It’s not always the one leading out front.

Sometimes...
the one trailing behind…
the one overlooked…
the one counted out…
finds their moment and surges ahead right when it matters most.

And every time, I’m reminded:
“The last will be first, and the first will be last.” — Matthew 20:16

That’s more than a verse.
It’s a pattern.

All throughout scripture, the story repeats:
→ David takes down giants
→ Joseph goes from prison to palace
→ Jesus shows that surrender can redefine victory

So if you feel behind…
that might not be a setback.

It might be positioning.

Because in God’s economy, the starting line doesn’t define you...
who you trust along the way does.

Maybe it’s not about pushing harder.
Maybe it’s about remembering who you are.

A cross before you.
A truth within you.
A steady confidence in your spirit...
