Every Memorial Day, the American Legionnaires of Post 247 of Petersburg, North Dakota, travel to seven cemeteries, Adler Cemetery, Lom Cemetery, Niagara Cemetery, St. Andrews Cemetery, Middle Forest River Cemetery, Zion Cemetery, and Petersburg Cemetery, to honor the men and women who served our country. Veterans who are no longer with us. These are their names.

It is with sadness that we hear the news of Pat Riely's passing away. Pat, a proud Navy Veteran, attended Legion Meetings in Petersburg, North Dakota, often. He loved to tell his stories and share laughs with fellow Legionnaires every month. He was dedicated to performing the Memorial Day services every year and loved being a part of it. You will be missed, Pat. The veterans of the Petersburg American Legion are hosting their annual Spaghetti Feed Fundraiser, Saturday, November 8th, 5-8 pm, at the Town Pump 2 in Petersburg, North Dakota. All are welcome, and we encourage you to help us spread the word. All proceeds go towards the American Legion, John Larson Post 247, to help with Legion activities.
