will share your opinions on our issues, and expect that this will be done in a respectful manner. Lily's Legacy does not agree with or endorse every comment that individuals post on our page. Our goal is to share love, information, and of course our senior dogs with as many individuals as possible. By taking part in discussions on our page, you are agreeing to the policy outlined below. We reserve the right to delete posts containing the following:

- Profane or offensive language;
- Inappropriate, irrelevant information or misinformation;
- Bullying and personal attacks;
- Promoting violence or illegal activities;
- Supporting individuals or organizations which promote animal cruelty
- Spam or commercial sales; or
- Links or comments regarding non-Lily's rescue dogs. We understand the desire to inform our rescue organization about other dogs who may need help, however posting links to these dogs on our posts can detract from the intent of helping our rescue pups. If you would like to pass on information or let us know about a dog who may be in need, please email us their information so we can directly correspond with the shelter or rescue organization about any help we may be able to provide. Many of our dogs have come in through various shelters or other organizations, and we wholeheartedly support these causes, but we respectfully ask for these messages to be sent directly to us rather than posted as a comment on our Facebook posts. We will remove any comments about non-Lily's dogs that do not adhere to this policy. All links posted as comments on Lily's Legacy posts will be reviewed and may be deleted. Repeated violations of the Lily's Legacy comment policy may cause the author to be banned from commenting on our page. We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, our moderation capabilities are not. DUKE! Duke rewrote his story after coming to us with his collar embedded in his neck and no confidence at all. He is now qualified to be whatever you need him to be! We all witnessed when Duke found his swagger and his transformation was incredible! He’s now confident, playful and more than ready to live and love the life he so deserves. He’s a happy dog and has such good energy! He is always pawsitive and up for anything! This pup is a precious gem. Hurry and meet him in person before he is scooped up and stolen by someone else! 😏🐾🖤

Who is that girl with the shiny eyes? Always a smile when you walk in the room? The shiniest coat you will ever see, and a heart as big as Texas? She’s independent but full of love; she just wants someone to genuinely want her. She has waited 14 months and she’s still waiting. She’s so precious to us all and she would be precious to you too if you’d open your heart and home to her. ❤️🖤 Adopt Precious!

It’s been a hot minute since we showed ya Maya & Lobo! These two dogs couldn’t be more different, but they come together, like salt & pepper, or chocolate and vanilla. 🤍🖤

Maya is almost an alabaster in color and as soft as fluffy cotton. She is a big hunk of love, lol and needs to lose about 20 pounds. But this does not slow her down one bit. She loves to run and play and love and give kisses and play chase and sit in your lap! She is the sweetest girl and loves everyone and everything.🥰

Lobo is as black as night. 🖤🐾 He also has the softest fur, and is a big hunk of love too. 🥰 He could stand to lose about 15 pounds, and probably as a result of carrying the extra weight, ended up, needing to have TPLO surgery, from which he is recovering. He is doing well in his recovery, but of course would like to be gallivanting around with Maya, and instead is having to have downtime in his kennel and super short walks daily. Lobo wants to go wherever Maya goes and is a year younger than she is, but looks like a puppy! 🐶 He’s got the cutest short little legs! 😍 Both of these dogs spent most of their life outside with very little socialization, so they act as if they are trying to make up for last time with gusto! 🤗🤗 Without question, they are delightful. I’m Enzo! I knew I was lucky when after being hit by a car, then landing at a shelter, this nice place called Lily’s took me in. And when I went to the vet, I kept hearing how lucky I was even more so because my injuries were such that instead of surgery, my dislocated hip just had to be manually manipulated back into place. Wowza! Whuuut!? Greatest news ever, right!? 🤗 But then I found out that because of my injury, I have to curtail my high energetic nature for a super duper long time, and that’s been nuts for me! 😩
And yet here I am, happy as a clam, or a lark, or a pig in mud. Why are clams happy??? 🤔But I digress…😏

Ok, so where was I? Oh! I just need a home now! 🏡 I am a really good boy! I am very smart. 🤓 And I love people and getting luvies, and I love other dogs too! I kind of love EVERYTHING. I am an all-around happy dog, but I’ve watched a bunch of my canine pals all get adopted and I’m starting to wonder what about meeee? 😢
Please don’t forget me. And the plus is, my breed is often referred to as a “Velcro dog” cuz we bond like no other! Come and meet me. Please! 🙏

Guess who went to our adoption and rescue event at Pet Food Express Saturday??? Kezar and Levi! Our two dogs named after Bay Area parks are still here! Howwwww tho!? 🤔
These 2…there’s literally NOTHING wrong with them. Well, maybe the black spot on Levi’s tongue. KIDDING! I’ll post a pic in the comments. It’s so cute! Can’t you just picture yourself with these yin and yang dogs!? ☯️

Chick magnets, kiddo entertainers, crowd pleasers, friend makers, show stoppers, snuggle-buggles, watchdogs and SO. MUCH. MORE.

They LOVE other dogs, they can walk with you, play with you, sleep with you, (or nearby on a dog bed on the floor, lol) keep you company while you get ready for work, nuzzle you when you are sick, we mean…they really ARE close to perfect! And two in this case really ARE better than one. We promise! 😏😏

Some stories are almost like a fairytale, and we use these stories to help us through the slow times, the sad times, the bad-people times…hopefully you can too!

ANGEL has gone to her furever home! And her people never forgot her from when they first met her at the Antioch Shelter. 🥹 Paul and his girlfriend Anastasia originally met Angel and other dogs at the Antioch Shelter when looking to adopt. Ultimately, they took home another shepherd mix. But as the days then weeks went by, they could not stop thinking about beautiful Angel! So much so, that they tracked her down and found her at Lily’s! They knew that their new current pup would love some company, so they made arrangements for him to meet Angel, and of course, things went wonderfully. ❤️ In no time at all, adoption papers were signed, and Angel hopped in the car with her new playmate and forever family! As you can see, we received updates and photos showing how well things were going, and it’s as if it was meant to be all along! We couldn’t be happier for everyone involved. Congratulations to all! ❤️🐾🐾

This gentle boy with the beguiling eyes has settled in quite nicely and will do a wonderful job of being a companion to another dog, and a companion to family members in a home. He’s patient and responsive to pets and love and affection and he wants to give love too! At 8-years young, he would be a lovely addition to your life! Come see, come see!
