Behind every grant awarded by the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation is a community need, an idea and an organization ready to make a difference.

The process begins when an organization identifies an opportunity to serve our community and submits a Grant Application, which is available at www.prcf.org. Each request is thoughtfully reviewed and considered by Club Officers and Foundation Trustees before funding decisions are made. From there, an approved grant can result in equipment for a local program, support for young people, improvements to a community space or resources that help an organization better serve others.

While we often share the final grant announcement, there is much more behind each one. It is a process designed to connect charitable giving with meaningful projects and organizations that can put those resources to work.

Did you know the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation and Perrysburg Rotary Club have played an important role in the development of Perrysburg Rotary Community Park?

What began as an open field has grown into a community space enjoyed by families, athletes, children and visitors throughout the year. Over the years, Perrysburg Rotarians and the Foundation have contributed more than $1,000,000 toward the development of the park and its amenities.

It is a lasting example of what can happen when a community invests not only in what is needed today, but in places that will continue serving others for generations.

We are proud to have played a part in helping Perrysburg Rotary Community Park become the gathering place it is today.

The Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation’s Mission Partner Program provides an opportunity for individuals and businesses to join in supporting work that strengthens communities and creates opportunities for others.

Mission Partners help support the broader work of the Foundation and its commitment to areas of service that include community, youth, environmental and international initiatives. For 40 years, the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation has helped connect generosity with opportunities to strengthen Perrysburg and communities throughout Wood County. Some partnerships are measured not in months or years, but in generations of lives changed.

For more than 25 years, the Perrysburg Rotary Club and the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation have proudly supported the Deborah House in Timișoara, Romania. Since 2001, the club and its foundation, working with Rotary International and Rotary District 6600, have contributed more than $300,000 to the ministry to help provide safe housing, education, counseling and hope for girls rescued from abuse and the threat of human trafficking.

Earlier this year, Perrysburg Rotarians Dr. Wayne Koskinen and Greg Rufty, along with their wives, traveled to Romania to visit the Deborah House and see firsthand the impact of this long-standing partnership. Their visit included time with the girls, tours of the Deborah House and Alpinis Leadership Center and an opportunity to witness how years of support have helped create a safe environment where young women can heal, grow and prepare for brighter futures.

The visit served as a powerful reminder that community impact extends far beyond our own neighborhoods. Through sustained partnerships and a shared commitment to service, lives can be transformed across the world.

We are grateful to everyone who has helped make the Deborah House one of Perrysburg Rotary's signature international projects and are honored to continue supporting this meaningful work.

The Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation is pleased to support Toledo Mountain Mentors with a $1,500 grant, helping provide brand-new hiking boots for at-risk youth participating in the organization's mentoring program. After months of one-on-one mentoring, participants will embark on a week-long backpacking expedition through the mountains of New Hampshire, where they will be challenged to work together, persevere through adversity and discover strengths they may not have realized they possessed.

This experience is about more than just the hike. It gives young people the chance to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence and rely on one another in a setting that pushes them both physically and mentally.

Through programs like Toledo Mountain Mentors, participants gain not only new skills, but also a stronger sense of self and connection to others. Opportunities like this can have a lasting impact, helping young people see what they are capable of and carry that confidence forward into other areas of their lives.

We are grateful to partner with organizations like Toledo Mountain Mentors that continue to open doors, inspire growth and create opportunities for the next generation.

One of the most rewarding parts of community impact is seeing the difference these programs make in people's lives.

The Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation is proud to partner with the Perrysburg Rotary Club for the 1st Annual Jim Euting Memorial Golf Outing, taking place this Friday, August 7 at The Belmont Country Club .

Though the Rotary Golf Outing has been held for over 30 years, this special, initial memorial edition honors the life and legacy of Jim Euting - a longtime Rotarian, former Perrysburg Rotary Club President and dedicated community leader who also served as President of both the Carranor Club Board and the Belmont Country Club Board. Jim's commitment to service and leadership helped shape our community, and this outing continues that legacy.

Funds raised through the outing will support the Jim Euting Memorial Fund at the Community Foundation for which Jim’s family members serve as advisors. The intent is to invest in projects and initiatives that enhance the quality of life throughout our community. Whether you register a team or become a sponsor, your participation helps make a lasting impact.
