Some of the most meaningful investments in a community quietly become part of everyday life.

Did you know the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation funded the creation of the quiet reading room at Way Public Library?

A library is more than a collection of books. It is a place to learn, study, discover something new and spend time within the community. By helping create a dedicated space for quiet reading, PRCF invested in something that continues to serve residents in a simple but meaningful way.

It is one of many projects throughout our area that tells the story of what can happen when generosity is invested back into the community we call home.

Fall is in full swing, and one of Perrysburg’s favorite community traditions is just a few weeks away!

The 7th Annual Fall into Rotary Park, hosted by the Perrysburg Rotary Club , returns Sunday, October 25 for an afternoon of family, community and plenty of fall fun. From pumpkin and potato sack races to face painting, trick-or-treat stations, music, first responder vehicles and more, there will be something for the whole family to enjoy - even Freddie and Frieda Falcon from BGSU will be there to celebrate!

We are grateful for the community partners who help make the day possible, including Mercy Health - Toledo, the Presenting Sponsor of Fall into Rotary Park, and Pavilion Sponsors Asset Protection Corporation, Experience Perrysburg, Perrysburg Area Chamber of Commerce and Skotynsky Financial.

We are proud to support the work of the Perrysburg Rotary Club and the many volunteers and partners who continue making opportunities like this possible for our community.

Generosity is personal, and there is no single way to make a difference.

As students throughout our community have returned to the classroom, it is a fitting time to reflect on the many ways an investment in education can shape the future.

Did you know the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation established $100,000 fully endowed scholarships at Owens Community College?

Education has long been one of the many ways PRCF and Perrysburg Rotary have worked to create opportunities for young people. Over the years, that commitment has also included support for programs such as STRIVE with Penta Career Center, reading and tutoring initiatives, Scholarships for Rotary’s HS Interact Club leadership, student transportation and other projects designed to help students learn, grow and succeed.

An investment in education reaches well beyond a classroom. It can open a door, create an opportunity and give a young person the resources to take their next step forward.

As another school year has begun, we are proud to reflect on the investments that continue creating opportunities for students throughout our community.

Fall into Rotary Park is back for its 7th year, bringing families, neighbors and friends together for an afternoon of fall fun and community connection.

Hosted by the Perrysburg Rotary Club and the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation, this annual event honors the community and the service that Perrysburg Rotarians have performed to raise over $1 million to help construct Perrysburg Rotary Community Park. On Sunday, October 25, Perrysburg Rotary Community Park will be filled with pumpkin and potato sack races, face and pumpkin painting, a bounce house, music, trick-or-treat stations, first responder vehicles, donuts, c***r, hot chocolate and plenty more.
Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Perrysburg Heights Community Food Pantry. It is a simple way to turn an afternoon spent together into an opportunity to support others in our community.

We are grateful to Mercy Health - Toledo , the Presenting Sponsor of Fall into Rotary Park, as well as our Pavilion Sponsors, Asset Protection Corporation, Experience Perrysburg, Perrysburg Area Chamber of Commerce and Skotynsky Financial, for helping make this community tradition possible. The causes that matter most to us are often personal.

For one person, it may be creating opportunities for young people. For another, it may be preserving community spaces, supporting education or helping organizations provide essential resources to neighbors in need.

Directed giving through the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation provides an opportunity to connect that passion with purpose. Preserving history is an investment in our community’s future.

The Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation is honored to have supported the Hood Park Native American Burials Committee with a $500 grant to help fund the Native American Burials Monument at Hood Park.

Native American history is deeply connected to the history of Perrysburg and the Maumee River Valley. Long before Perrysburg was established, the Maumee River and surrounding lands were home to and traveled by Native American nations, including the Shawnee, Wyandot, Delaware and Miami peoples. Native American nations also played a significant role in the region during the War of 1812, including the 1813 sieges of nearby Fort Meigs. Remembering this history helps us better understand the people and events that shaped the community we know today.

On Wednesday, September 16, at 4:00 p.m., the City of Perrysburg will host a dedication ceremony unveiling the new monument and honoring the 24 Native American individuals buried in unmarked graves at the site. The monument will be located on the west side of Hood Park, just northwest of the Civil War monument and accessible from a walkway.
PRCF is proud to support projects that preserve local history, encourage reflection and ensure important stories are remembered with dignity and respect.

For 40 years, the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation has benefited from individuals who believed in creating something lasting for the community they called home. Their generosity has helped support projects, organizations and opportunities whose impact continues well beyond the original gift.
Planned giving offers another way to carry that spirit forward. Through thoughtful options such as bequests and beneficiary designations, individuals can create a legacy that reflects the causes and community they valued during their lifetime.

The decisions we make today have the potential to strengthen Perrysburg for many years to come, helping ensure future generations inherit a community with opportunities to learn, grow, serve, gather and thrive.

One of Perrysburg’s favorite fall traditions will be here before we know it!

This October, we look forward to welcoming families, friends and neighbors back to Perrysburg Rotary Community Park for our annual Fall into Rotary Park. It is an opportunity to enjoy the season, spend time together and celebrate a community space that has brought people together for generations.

The Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation and Perrysburg Rotary Club have a long history with Perrysburg Rotary Community Park. Over the years, Perrysburg Rotarians and the Foundation have contributed more than $1,000,000 toward the development of the park and its amenities helping transform what was once an open field into a place for recreation, connection and community.

It is a lasting example of what can happen when a community invests not only in what is needed today, but in places that will continue serving others for generations.

Behind every grant awarded by the Perrysburg Rotary Community Foundation is a community need, an idea and an organization ready to make a difference.

The process begins when an organization identifies an opportunity to serve our community and submits a Grant Application, which is available at www.prcf.org. Each request is thoughtfully reviewed and considered by Club Officers and Foundation Trustees before funding decisions are made. From there, an approved grant can result in equipment for a local program, support for young people, improvements to a community space or resources that help an organization better serve others.

While we often share the final grant announcement, there is much more behind each one. It is a process designed to connect charitable giving with meaningful projects and organizations that can put those resources to work.
