EVENT CANCELLED!

Official Statement from the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce

The Perry Area Chamber of Commerce regrets to announce that the BBQ, Brews, and Blues Cookout will not take place as planned in 2025. This decision was made due to unforeseen challenges related to fundraising and event management.

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting this event in 2024 and were eagerly looking forward to continuing the event in 2025. However, the current financial and operational climate has made it difficult for our small nonprofit team to manage the event this year.

We remain hopeful that we can bring the BBQ, Brews, and Blues Cookout back in the future, though it will not be possible in 2025. Please accept our sincerest apologies for any disappointment this may cause.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported this event. Your enthusiasm and community spirit meant the world to us, and we look forward to exploring opportunities to host this event again if circumstances allow.

🎉 What an incredible weekend at the inaugural BBQ, Brews and Blues Cook-off! 🎶🍗

On Friday, October 25, the Perry Area Chamber hosted a BBQ dinner for our community partners, event sponsors and chamber investors. Special thanks to The Butcher Shop for sponsoring our the dinner. Your support made the evening unforgettable!

Over 15 teams competed for the title of Best Chicken Wings, Brunswick Stew, BBQ Sauce, and Dessert. Our judges had a deliciously tough job!

Special thanks to Bodega Brew for hosting our beverage bar, Graphic Packaging for being the Beverage Sponsor and Synovus Bank for being our entertainment sponsor!

Hosted by the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce at the Perry-Houston County Airport, we welcomed 29 amazing teams to compete for the title of Best BBQ in Perry!

On Saturday, the air was filled with the aroma of BBQ as teams took part in the Georgia BBQ Association cookoff. Special thanks to all the teams that participated in the competition!

On Saturday, the air was filled with the tantalizing aroma of BBQ as teams took part in the Georgia BBQ Association cookoff. The People's Choice Pulled Pork competition brought out over 10 teams, and the energy was electric! Special thanks to Durden's Prime Meats for sponsoring the People's Choice Competition.

We have a fun weekend planned at BBQ, Brews & Blues at the Perry-Houston County Airport! Join us on Saturday, October 26 from 11am-4pm!!

This is a FREE EVENT and open to the general public. Not only will we have an amazing cookoff by the Georgia BBQ Association, we will have food trucks from Triple C’s Kitchen and Cuban Island Cafe. We will also have beverage trucks from Bodega Brew and Tipsy Peach Mobile Bar. Non-alcoholic beverages will be sold as well.

Purchase a commemorative t-shirt and you’ll get a People’s Choice Tasting voucher to vote for the People’s Choice BBQ.
