Taylor County Historical Society   Perry, Florida Created in 1856, Taylor County was named after Zachary Taylor (12th President of the USA). The Taylor County Historical Society was founded in 1971.

Our event was a resounding success, attracting a sizable crowd and generating considerable interest among attendees. Many individuals expressed eagerness to participate again next year and display their collections. The event facilitated valuable interactions between amateur and professional exhibitors, resulting in significant historical discoveries. The Taylor, County, Historical Society and The Aucilla Research Institute thank all who participated with  artifact identification event and thank you for bringing in your artifacts seeing pieces of our communities, History and learning about your collections too . More pictures to be posted later.

ROADSHOW
MAY 30TH IN PERRY
Are you in possession of pottery, arrowheads, or fossils?
The Tavlor County Historical Society and the Aucilla Research Institute (ARD) invite you to on artifact identification event scheduled for Saturday, May 30th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Forest Capital Hall. During this event, ARI st aff and researchers will showcase North Florida artifacts and fossils while also offering identification services for artifacts from tha Pre-inndian to historic perods, is as wvell as fossils, that attendees wish to share.
Dr, Andy Hemmings encourages participants to bring their finds, stating. "If you are willing to show us your finds, we would be happy to tell you anything we can about them."
An event is a collaboration between the Taylor County Historical Society and ARI.
