Summer Opening
June 6, 2026

The Weathersfield Historical Society announces the opening of the Dan Foster House Museum and Forge for summer visitors.
The Dan Foster House is the home of the Weathersfield Historical Society collection.
Come learn about life in Weathersfield in the past. This year’s special exhibits include the 1775 Articles of Association and an entire room dedicated to Amsden village.
Visit our working forge and see some old-fashioned blacksmithing in action.
There will be special demonstrations of past occupations throughout the summer. Watch for the sign by the road in front of the house for announcements.
From butter churns to the lady in the hearse to the second-to-last panther to walk the woods in Vermont, we have lots of fun and interesting things to see.
The house is open every Saturday from
12:00 noon to 4:00PM.
