Opie is still taking applications. He is the sweetest boy at adoption events, wanting attention from everyone! We are surprised someone hasn't sn**ch up this big baby!
Opie is a little over four months old and weighs 35 pounds, a catahoula mix is our best guess. His foster thinks he should be fairly large size as his paws are pretty big topping out 70-80 pounds. Opie should have been named Curious George his foster says because he has to know what's going on and follow you wherever you go. Opie is one cool dude; he seems to have an old soul and is very good natured. He is a well-behaved pup and seems very smart. He is somewhat high energy but then once he wears himself out, he flops down and just observes. He loves to follow his foster family everywhere they go. He is pretty much potty trained except for an occasional accident, and he keeps his kennel dry also. He loves other dogs, hasn't been around cats, as there are none in his foster home, but should do good. He carries toys around and loves to play with them. Opie doesn't do too bad on a leash either, he is going to be a great pup for sure!

MEET SARA AND WINNIE!!!
These sisters were born 7/24/26, so are about 10 weeks old. Sara is tan and Winnie is white and tan. They are chihuahua mixes weighing 4-5 pounds and are expected to be 12-18 pounds when grown. They are your typical active, yet cuddly, puppies. They are doing great with their potty training but will need continued diligence to get them 100% potty trained.

PENDING ADOPTION!

Denali will be making her debut this Saturday at Petco in Peoria from 11am-2pm.
This sweet, almost eight-year-old lady loves everyone she meets. Despite her years, she still gets puppy-like bursts of energy, though she’s just as happy to lay down on the couch and snuggle with her people. The benefit of maturity is that Denali is completely house trained, does not jump up, and has learned loyalty—she has a calm, loving aura and is eager to please. As a purebred Bernese Mountain Dog, she’s on the smaller side at 61 pounds of fluff and love. Our veterinarian says she needs to gain about five pounds. She has lived with both kids and other dogs but may be best suited to a quieter home for her senior years. Denali loves walks and treats and is looking for someone to spoil her with all the love she deserves.

Where's Waldo's family? This handsome pup, named Waldo, was part of the Little Rascal litter of pups. All of Waldo's littermates have found their families, Waldo thought he had also but it didn't work out as well for him unfortunately. Waldo was returned for not being completely potty trained and for playing with the toddlers in the home causing them to be knocked down. The toddlers then were afraid of sweet Waldo. Waldo has been back in his foster home for about 5 days, and he did have several potty (p*e) accidents the first 24 hours but has been almost completely accident free after that. He is allowed free access to go outside as he pleases with a doggie door, or an open door in his foster home. Waldo is now only 6.5 months old, so he is still a pup who just needs some training. He is currently about 35 pounds so his adult weight will likely be around 40-50 pounds. His DNA test (photo pictured), has him as mostly (46%) poodle, then pitty, and boxer. He has a beautiful red coat with amazing rippled hair down his back and tail. He looks very much like a vizsla. Waldo has been a well behaved and sweet pup in his foster home. He enjoys playing with the other 6 month old foster pup in the home and makes the cutest "talking" noises. Who will be lucky enough to claim that they found Waldo?

COOKIE IS STILL ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!!!
Cookie is an eight month old black mouth cur mix, she is such a beauty! Cookie is a nice size, around 30 pounds, her foster mom doesn't think she will get much bigger, maybe 40-45. She is mostly dark tan and then has black and white on the face. Cookie is shy at first with new people but seems to be coming out of her shell rather quickly. She loves other dogs and playing with them and toys, she also has been around horses but not cats though we think she would do well with them. Cookie also loves water and splashing in the little plastic pools. She is mostly potty trained and is also kennel trained. She hasn't been on a leash too much but with time should do better. She is a very sweet girl and will make someone a great pup/companion.
