🐾 GRAFELMAN FARMS RESCUE: TNR PROGRAM UPDATE 🐾

Grafelman Farms Rescue (GFR) is temporarily scaling back its Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program as we navigate operational and staffing transitions.

Please know that our TNR program is NOT being discontinued! ❤️ We remain committed to helping community cats and reducing overpopulation through humane, responsible TNR efforts. We will continue assisting with cases as our capacity allows while prioritizing our resources and maintaining quality care for the animals we serve. Caregivers must be willing to work collaboratively with our volunteers regarding scheduling, trapping, and transportation.

🐱 Need TNR assistance? There are options!

To help community members find support, we have compiled a list of local TNR programs and resources.

Update: Oren is healing well. He has been neutered and while he was sedated, debridement the self-inflicted scratch wounds occurred. He got a deep ear cleaning and another round of ear ointment antibiotic. Upon examination of his mouth, Dr. Kelly discovered broken canines with root exposure. The damaged teeth were extracted and Oren can finally eat dry food! A new video has been added so you can see the healing and how thankful he is to have the much needed medical attention.

🐾 MEET OREN - OUR LATEST RESCUE HERO & HIS COLONY! 🐾

When a compassionate community member noticed this poor tomcat in desperate need of help, they immediately reached out to Grafelman Farms Rescue.

Look closely at the wound behind his ears—that wasn't from a fight. It was actually self-inflicted. He was suffering from an ear infection so severe and painful that he was literally scratching himself raw just trying to find relief. 💔

🩺 His Road to Recovery
We we were able to step in right away:

🧼 Deep cleaned his ears

💊 Started him on antibiotics and much-needed pain medication

🩹 Treated his wounds so he can finally heal in comfort

🌲 The Next Step: Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR)
Once he’s fully healed, the next step is to neuter, vaccinate, and return him to his outdoor home. The best news? The wonderful finders who alerted us have promised to provide him with outdoor shelter and daily meals! 🥣✨

🐈‍⬛ How YOU Can Help His Colony
