Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that marks freedom, resilience, and the enduring spirit of Black Excellence.

Juneteenth is more than a moment in history.

It is a reminder of how far we've come, the sacrifices made by those before us, and the responsibility we have to continue building a brighter future for generations to come.

At the Miss & Mister Juneteenth Pageant, we honor this legacy by empowering young leaders, celebrating culture, and uplifting voices that represent the very best of the Peoria community.

As we gather with family, friends, and neighbors today, let us reflect, educate, celebrate, and continue the work of creating opportunities for those who will follow in our footsteps.

Earlier this month, Mrs. Juneteenth Briana Stevenson and Teen Miss Juneteenth Emonnii Jennings said they were ready to inspire and empower. On Thursday, the other titleholders, Miss Juneteenth Jordan Janae Doss-Watson, Mister Juneteenth Patrick Pollard and Little Miss Juneteenth Arria Isom said they are looking forward to doing the same.
