Marcellus Sommerville Foundation is being established by Marcellus and his wife Brooke. They were both born and raised in Peoria, Illinois and attended Peoria Central High School. During his career at Central, Marcellus was first team all state and Journal Star Player of the Year in 2001. In 2006 he lead the Bradley Braves to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. He also had the amazing
opportunity to grace the cover of one America's top magazines, Sports Illustrated. Marcellus has spent the last 8 years playing professional basketball in Europe. The Sommerville's credit their success to God, Family, and Basketball. They are now committed to coming back to the community that has been so supportive to them. Through this foundation they are committed to share their experience, talents, and guidance with the young people of Central Illinois.
