Intimate partner violence and SA is prevalent in the news right now thanks to CNN uncovering a truly evil website helping millions of men learn how to assault their partners more effectively.

PCAS is teaching some basic self defense this Sunday at 1pm at the Detweiler Marina park behind O’Brien Steel. I will spend time over the next two days researching the techniques and ways to deter or at the very least uncover if this is happening in your home.

For anyone that doesn’t know who Kelli Martin is, back in 2020 this incredible woman heard many food pantries had to shut down due to the pandemic and she turned her front porch into a pantry serving anyone in the area that needed help of some kind. Her Facebook group connects people to assistance still. She has battled the city, health issues, and now divorce.

I am intimately familiar with financial abuse and not realizing it IS domestic violence because the violence wasn’t physical (often).

This community organizer needs help, she deserves support from the community she has helped time and time again. If you can donate to her gofundme please do.

This picture was from the day I gathered every bit of courage I had and filed for divorce. It needed to happen for a long time, but I was stuck in survival mod
