Last night we gave a speaker for his keyboard to Max McGar at his Birthday Party! It was one Jay Platt and I picked up on our trip to Ft Lauderdale a couple of months ago. Thanks Jay and John Platt for your contributions to KMA! Max has been coming weekly for a few months and has become a member of our family.
Musicians if you have instruments or equipment you’re no longer using, contact us and we will gladly pick it up and put in the hands of a young aspiring musician. We take monetary donations on our website as well. Help us keep music alive.

I just Ubered a Navy Pilot to the Airport. We started talking about music. He’s a guitarist. I told him about Keeping Music Alive’s Mission to help kids get instruments who can’t afford them. He said that was amazing because he was one of those kids who had to use the school guitar because he wasn’t able to have his own. Schedule permitting, he will probably come sit in with us at Goat Lips one Wednesday. Nice young man and I thanked him for his service.

Got some great news in the mail today! We got our 501(C)3 approval letter! It was much sooner than I expected after talking to some who had attemped it for their NPO. I was expecting it to take months because of the shutdown! You can donate and deduct it from your taxes! We need to raise as much as we can to help as many kids as possible!
