Krewe of Avant Garde - Pensacola, Florida Krewe of Avant Garde - Established 1983, Pensacola's ONLY Mardi Gras Krewe recognizing our military.

The Krewe of Avant Garde - formed in 1983 - is a local, Pensacola Mardi Gras organization and is the ONLY local Mardi Gras Krewe that was formed to openly support our troops and you do not have to have any military affiliation to join. We hold an annual formal, Masquerade Mardi Gras Ball, plus several other membership events throughout the year. We typically utilize our float in the Mardi Gras, Ch

ristmas, and Veterans Day Parade annually. Membership dues subsidize our Mardi Gras ball, official events, and Krewe expenses and are currently $150.00 per person. Other nominal fees may be requested depending on event - but will be made known in advance. Annual dues are generally paid after our Spring Annual meeting to help start the new Mardi Gras year (and to take advantage of more events), but new members may join at anytime. Guest fees are determined by each event and that event's cost as guests are always welcomed to our events to learn more about the organization and potentially join. Keep in mind this Facebook site is periodically reviewed so quickest way to get a response is via our email address. Also, most of our socials or parties allow guests at a guest price (via an RSVP deadline) which is also a great way to come to meet members and decide on membership at that time. Krewe Social!

Join us on Wednesday, May 27th at Lucy’s in the Square from 5:30-7:30pm. It is located at 301 S. Adam Street in downtown Pensacola. They have free street parking, full menu and bar. Remember to wear your krewe vests.

Once again, a wonderful Mardi Gras Ball was had by all who attended! Thank you Dean Kirschner - Chair of the Ball - and congratulations to our Royal Court! Great Music, Food, Dancing, and Fun at PYC! Now's the time to RSVP - our annual Masquerade Mardi Gras Ball is quickly approaching. This formal - black-tie optional event will be Friday, February 6th at 6 p.m. at the Pensacola Yacht Club. AG members are free, guests are $75/person. Event includes full dinner, dancing to live band, program and court presentation, mask parade and contest, and cash bar. RSVPs are required in advance for head count. Please RSVP by February 2nd.
