We know it's been a tough time for all of us since Hurricane Isaias impacted our community, but one thing we know for sure is that Escambia County is resilient. It will take time, but we will rebuild and recover, because we are .

🌟 Meet this month's featured FPRA Pensacola board member, Steve Nissim!

Steve serves as the President-Elect and Vice President of Membership for the 2026-2027 board year. By day, he is an External Communications Specialist for Ascension Florida, telling stories about people and resources that create transformative care for the Pensacola market including Sacred Heart Hospital and Studer Family Children's Hospital. He became an FPRA member in 2023 and joined the board in 2024.

When asked what he enjoys most about FPRA, Steve shared: "I love the relationships I’ve been able to build or strengthen through FPRA. The opportunity to bond, learn, share ideas, and discuss challenges with people I respect is invaluable."

A fun fact about Steve: "I grew up in New York City (Queens). After over two decades in Pensacola, this is very much my home and I love it, but I always feel a connection to my NYC roots."

Congratulations to the winner of our 2026 Eileen Perrigo, APR, Student Scholarship, Maddy Etheridge! 🌟🥳

Maddy is a senior at the University of West Florida who graduates this December with her Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She is the President of the student chapter of FPRA and the secretary of the film club. A passionate storyteller, she aspires to start her own production company in the future.

We’re so proud of Maddy and can’t wait to see where her future takes her! Congratulations again! 👏

We had a full house yesterday for our first meeting of the 2026-2027 year! 🏒🌟

Our chapter had a blast welcoming Pensacola Ice Flyers Owner Greg Harris and Senior Director of Operations Brenden Arney to our September chapter meeting to chat all things sports marketing. Greg and Brenden led a dynamic discussion on the winning strategies behind the Ice Flyers brand, engaging with their audience, and gave us a sneak peek at the upcoming season.
