At 5:30 last evening we reached out to a nearby business owner for assistance. With his company's help we believe we will be able to upgrade the electric surveillance equipment that has been installed in an attempt to identify those trespassing on the property and stealing tools and equipment belonging to my late husband.
Umatilla county sheriff Terry Rowan has removed all the horses from the property along with the donated hay. The horses are now safely in his care and there is no longer a concern that they will be stolen from property.
If you can provide a loving home for one of the horses please contact Terry Rowan.
There's been a great deal of incorrect information about the process for adopting a horse. All you have to do is contact Terry Rowan.

Excellent update! The sheriff will be arranging for the transportation of the horses to their new temporary location

No more donations. There is enough hay until the sheriff will be removing the horses. When the sheriff publishes the new location for the horses, you can then work with that facility. Any hay left from the emergency hay delivery coordinated by Community Equine Outreach of Eastern Washington will be loaded and accompany the horses to their new temporary location.

When the last horse is safely escorted off my property on the 26th of January. I personally am required to pay the 79,570.36 operating loan that kept the animals alive for the last 10 years. I've given 10 years of my life. I am broken. The trespassing, vandalism, and theft that has occurred since notice was made that the sanctuary is closing has literally broken my soul. I simply don't have anything more to give. I cannot protect the horses. I have so called experts wandering around my property, going through my equipment sheds and stealing anything that's not nailed down. The horses need to be removed to a safe location where they can be assessed for rehoming.

I just received a text from Laura at Community Equine outreach of Eastern Washington. She has requested that I remove the post requesting the name of the attorney that donated the thousand dollars. I'm terribly confused and if any of you know who that generous donor is please provide his name and contact information. If there's one thing needed right now it's the advice an attorney that cares for horses.
