⚓️ Yesterday we had the opportunity to attend the Port Everglades Career Fair & Expo! 🚧🏗️

It was a great day connecting with students, job seekers, and members of the community to share information about careers in the operating engineers industry and the opportunities available through the IUOE Local 487 Apprenticeship Program.

From cranes and heavy equipment to skilled trades training, we were proud to showcase the rewarding careers that help keep South Florida moving. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and to the organizers for hosting such a great event!

We look forward to continuing to build the next generation of skilled operators and tradesmen/women. 💪👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, IUOE Local 487 Apprenticeship pays tribute to the heroes who gave everything for our freedom. Their courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As we continue building our communities, we remember those who helped protect them.

Wrapping up National Apprenticeship Week the best way we know how — with a great class and hands-on training 💪🚧

Our apprentices continue to show up, put in the work, and build the skills that keep this industry moving forward. From the classroom to the field, the dedication and progress we’ve seen this week has been outstanding.

We’re proud of every apprentice putting in the effort to learn the trade and shape their future. This week may be coming to an end, but the hard work doesn’t stop here.

Today we honor the men and women who lost their lives, were injured, or became ill on the job. Workers Memorial Day is a reminder that every worker deserves to go home safe at the end of the day. 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️

In this industry, safety isn’t just a rule — it’s a responsibility we carry for ourselves, our brothers and sisters, and our families. 🦺🚧 We remember those we’ve lost and recommit to looking out for one another on every jobsite.

Busy weekend here at Local 487 💪

Yesterday our apprentices were back in the yard and classroom putting in the work, building skills, and getting one step closer to mastering the trade.

Today wraps up the final day of OSHA 30 — a huge milestone. Safety isn’t just something we talk about, it’s something we live every day on and off the job.

Proud of the dedication these apprentices continue to show. The future of this industry is in good hands. 👷‍♂️🚧
