Our CEO, Rachel Doan, was honored to represent the Boys & Girls Club of Pekin as one of just 12 local organizations selected to receive a spring grant from the Kiwanis Club of Pekin!

While our Club has been fortunate to receive Kiwanis support for many years, we’re especially excited that this is the second time they’ve chosen to fund one of our favorite traditions Free Pizza Fridays!

Today we are thrilled to announce Kiwanis doubled their previous grant award, providing enough funding to sponsor TEN Free Pizza Fridays during our 2026-2027 after-school program! 🎉🍕

That means hundreds of slices shared, countless smiles, and one less thing for families to worry about as youth enjoy a safe, fun, and supportive place to be after school.

Thank you, Kiwanis, for investing in local youth, strengthening our community, and helping us keep mouths happy and bellies full one pizza slice at a time! 🍕💙
