In Loving Memory of Kuya Fred de la Paz

Today, we join the de la Paz family and the nursing community in mourning the passing of Kuya Fred de la Paz—the pillar of support and devoted husband of PNAA and PNAMH Past President Ampy de la Paz.

Kuya Fred’s quiet strength, unwavering love, and steadfast support were the foundation behind a life dedicated to service and leadership. While many knew Ampy through her remarkable contributions to nursing and the Filipino community, those closest to them knew that Kuya Fred was always there—offering encouragement, sacrifice, and unconditional love every step of the way.

His kindness, humility, and gentle spirit touched countless lives. Though he preferred to remain behind the scenes, his impact was deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

On behalf of the Philippine Nurses Association of Metro Houston (PNAMH), we extend our heartfelt condolences to Ampy de la Paz, their family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

May cherished memories bring comfort, and may Kuya Fred’s legacy of love, devotion, and quiet strength continue to inspire all who knew him.
