☀️🐴 Our Summer Program is officially a wrap! 🐴☀️

As the Arkansas heat turns up, our horses (and humans!) are taking a well-deserved break before an exciting season.

This summer, Sunshine Therapeutic Riding Center proudly provided 99 hippotherapy sessions and adaptive riding lessons throughout June and July, helping children build strength, confidence, independence, and joy—one ride at a time. ❤️

🍂 We’ll be back the week of Labor Day with our 11-week Hippotherapy Program in partnership with KidSource Therapy and New Hope Therapy.

✨ Enrollment is OPEN now, and we still have a few spots available! If you’d like to learn how hippotherapy can benefit your child, we’d love to hear from you. Contact us for details.

A heartfelt THANK YOU goes to our incredible therapists, dedicated volunteers, and amazing families. Your compassion, commitment, and teamwork make every milestone possible.

Today, our wonderful volunteer Kendra helped Aiden give Ringo a refreshing cool-down. These moments are about so much more than staying cool.

Our Summer Hippotherapy Program is in full swing! Along with therapeutic riding, our sessions incorporate horse care and horsemanship, helping participants develop responsibility, empathy, confidence, and a deeper understanding of these incredible animals.

At Sunshine Therapeutic Riding Center, every grooming session, bath, and interaction is an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect. ❤️

We received a wonderful donation from Anchored on the Range:

TWO farm gates plus installation to improve our fencing. Our mighty therapy pony SCRIM has been tearing up our electric fence gates and it’s time to get them replaced.

We have been gifted a MOON metal sculpture by Vickie and Roger of Metal Art by Mckinney, vendors at the farmers market. For years, therapists and kids have called a certain spot on the property 'the moon' where we take our kids horseback during therapy sessions. Thank you for this fun new feature!

Shout out to Tina at Sunnie Daze Farms, for this wonderful idea and for making the connection.

Now, we just need a sun and some stars! 🌙☀️✨

✨ PAUSE. BREATHE. RECONNECT. ✨

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Sunshine Therapeutic Riding Center was proud to partner with Laurie Ellis Young—award-winning author of Breath is Life and founder of BreathLogic—for two successful Connecting Hearts mindfulness experiences.

Together, we explored the healing power of breath, mindfulness, and horses through breathwork, mindful connection, and guided meditation—creating space for calm, presence, and meaningful connection.

A heartfelt thank you to Laurie, our participants, volunteers, and amazing horses for making these events so special.
