On Friday, sweet Rose, just 8 years old, gained her angel wings after her fight with DIPG.

There are no words big enough for this kind of loss. No way to fully carry the weight this family is now facing.

The Cano family is now walking through unimaginable grief… while still having to manage everyday life—meals, groceries, caring for their children, and simply getting through each day.

This is where we step in. 🤍

Box of Hope is coming together to support the Cano family by helping cover groceries and household essentials during this incredibly difficult time—so they can focus on being together, grieving, and honoring Rose.

If you feel led to help:
• Monetary donations to purchase groceries (we already sent one order 🙏🏽)
• Gift cards (Publix, Walmart, Kroger)
• Prayers for strength and peace over this family

Every single act of kindness matters right now.

If you’d like to give, please message me directly or send via:
Venmo:
Zelle: [email protected]

Let’s surround this family with love in the moments they need it most.

For Rose. 🌹🤍

Today was one of those days that reminds me exactly why Box of Hope exists. 🤍

Because of YOU, we were able to deliver these Easter baskets to two of the sweetest little girls bravely fighting DIPG. Every stuffed animal, blanket, and surprise inside was made possible by your generosity, your messages, and your willingness to step in at the very last minute.

These aren’t just baskets… they’re moments of joy, comfort, and a reminder to these families that they are not walking this road alone.

To everyone who donated, shared, reached out, or prayed—thank you. You made something really special happen today. 🧡

This is what Box of Hope is all about… showing up, loving big, and bringing light in the hardest moments.

Happy Easter from all of us. ✝️🐣

This morning hit different.

I stepped on the treadmill at 6 AM thinking, “I have to run 7 miles…”
And then it stopped me in my tracks…

What if I flipped it?
👉 I GET to run 7 miles.

Because almost two years ago… I couldn’t.
I was sitting in a hospital room for 30 days, staring at four walls, preparing for a stem cell transplant—praying for the chance to just feel normal again… to move… to LIVE.

I used to dream about mornings like this.

So today, I ran with gratitude instead of pressure.
With perspective instead of frustration.

If you’re breathing, if you’re moving, if you’ve got another day in front of you… that’s a gift.

Take today and make it a great damn day, y’all.
Be thankful. ❤️

🧡 Why Box of Hope Exists 🧡

Cancer changes everything.

As many of you know, I spent the last two and a half years fighting leukemia. It was one of the hardest seasons of my life. But through it, I experienced something incredible — the strength of community.

Meals showed up. Messages poured in. People prayed. People checked in. People lifted our family up when we couldn’t always stand on our own.

And it made me realize something.

No one should fight cancer alone.

That’s why Box of Hope was created — to support CrossFit athletes and their immediate family members who are battling cancer. Our goal is to step in with encouragement, financial assistance when possible, and the reminder that this community stands beside them.

If you know someone in the CrossFit community who is currently facing cancer, please send us a private message. Everything will remain confidential.

Sometimes people going through the hardest fight of their life don’t ask for help.
So we’re asking for them.

And if you don’t know someone personally, please share this post so we can reach the families who need hope the most.

Because in this community, we never fight alone. 🧡

I’m sharing this personally, because I’ve been there.

Cancer doesn’t just take a toll on your body—it turns life upside down financially, emotionally, and mentally. And when you’re part of the CrossFit community, stepping away from the gym, your people, and your routine can feel just as heavy.

That’s why I started

If you or someone you know in the CrossFit world is going through cancer and needs financial support, please reach out. This isn’t about pride or toughness. It’s about making sure no one fights this alone.

Box of Hope exists to help cover real-life expenses so athletes and families can focus on healing—not worrying about how they’re going to keep everything afloat.

If this message hits close to home, message me privately or visit boxofhoperx.org.

And if you’re healthy right now, please share this.
You never know who in your gym is quietly struggling.

saved my life.
Now this is one way I give back. 🧡💪

💛 Do You Know Someone in Our CrossFit Family Who Needs a Little Hope? 💛

Cancer doesn’t just affect the body — it affects families, finances, and everyday life in ways most people never see.

At Box of Hope, our mission is simple: to give hope when it’s needed most.
If you or someone you know in the CrossFit community is currently battling cancer and could use support, we want to help.

Sometimes that help looks like:
• Assistance with an electric bill
• Help covering a birthday party for a child
• Groceries, gas, or everyday essentials
• Or simply reminding someone they are not alone

No request is too small. No family is overlooked.
This is exactly why Box of Hope exists — to wrap our arms around our community when life gets heavy.

If this sounds like you or someone you love, please reach out privately or tag someone who may need to see this. 💛
Hope starts with one conversation.

Box of Hope | Year in Review 🤍

As we close out this year, I want to pause and remind everyone why Box of Hope exists.

Box of Hope was created to stand in the gap when life hits hard — when a cancer diagnosis turns routines upside down, when strength is tested beyond the barbell, and when no one should have to carry it alone. Our mission is simple: to bring hope, support, and tangible help to members of the CrossFit community and their families facing cancer.

This year, we showed up with meals, care packages, words of encouragement, prayers, workouts, fundraisers, and community — because hope looks like action.

As we step into 2026, this is your reminder:
If you or someone in your CrossFit gym is walking through cancer — newly diagnosed, in treatment, or surviving — please reach out.
You don’t have to know what to say. You don’t have to ask perfectly. You just have to ask.

Box of Hope is here to remind people they are seen, supported, and never alone — on the hardest days and beyond.

Thank you to every donor, sponsor, gym, volunteer, and believer who made this year possible. Because of you, hope keeps moving forward.

Here’s to more strength, more love, and more hope in 2026.

💛 50 little reminders of hope are heading out tomorrow. 💛

Tomorrow, 50 handmade pearl ornaments will be delivered to local teachers at and cancer fighters/survivors outside the school —each one created with intention, prayer, and love.

Pearls are formed through pressure, grit, and time… just like so many of the stories we’re honoring. These ornaments are a small reminder that even in the hardest seasons, something beautiful is still being made.

To our teachers who pour into our kids every single day, and to our fighters and survivors who inspire strength beyond words—you are seen, you are valued, and you are never alone.

This is why Box of Hope exists.

Next week, I get to deliver something incredibly special. 🤍

These beautiful oyster shell ornaments were handmade by my dear friend Ellen—each one holding a single pearl inside. Simple. Organic. Imperfect. And absolutely stunning.

A pearl doesn’t start out beautiful.
It starts when something rough—an irritant—gets inside the shell. Something that doesn’t belong. Something uncomfortable. Over time, layer by layer, the oyster coats that pain until it becomes something precious.

That’s what cancer did to me.

Cancer was the irritant.
The thing that disrupted everything.
The thing that never should have been there.

But layer by layer—through faith, community, grit, and a whole lot of hard days—something unexpected was formed. What started as something painful turned into Box of Hope: a nonprofit built from survival, resilience, and the belief that no one should fight alone.

These ornaments feel like a full-circle moment.
A reminder that even the hardest things can create something meaningful.

Next week, I’ll be delivering these pearls of hope as a small but powerful reminder that beauty can come from the hardest seasons—and that every person walking through cancer deserves to be seen, supported, and wrapped in love.

Because that’s what Box of Hope is all about:
Turning hardship into hope.
Turning pain into purpose.
Turning survival into service.

🚨 TOMORROW IS THE FINAL DAY TO DONATE. 🚨
If you’ve been meaning to help with Boxes of Gratitude, this is it. No more extensions. No more “I’ll do it later.”

Right now, donations are way too low to honor the oncology nurses at Emory University Hospital — the people who literally kept me alive. They deserve better, and we can do better.

👉 If you care about supporting the people who show up for cancer patients every single day, then take action NOW.

You can:
• Zelle a donation: [email protected] or Venmo a donation: boxofhoperx

• Drop off items at Uniforms for America in Peachtree City…or Megan Mulvey’s home.
But it must be done by tomorrow.

Please don’t scroll past this.
Don’t wait.
Don’t assume someone else will do it.

Step up. Give back. Make an impact.
Tomorrow is the last chance.
