Another Rainbow caught by Greg R on Wednesday. Between Tom D and Greg R, twelve Rainbows were netted. At least that many more were prematurely released…dozens of strikes were missed as the trout were very active.
Larry H was able to get onto Big Lake, despite gale force winds, where he caught a number of very nice Trout.
The high winds made fishing from kayaks a challenge. Reports of leaders wrapped around trolling motor props were common as well as line being caught on anything and everything on the kayak…paddles, anchor lines, handles, etc.
Regardless of the challenges and difficulties all seven Payson Fly Fishers had a great time.
Special thanks to Mark Weeter for providing dinner on Monday night, a delicious lasagna that was FOUR inches thick! (Look for a previous post depicting a plate with the lasagna meal.)
