James Volunteer Fire Department was formally organized in 2015 as a non-profit corporation by members of the Lutcher & Paulina Grand Point Belmont Volunteer Fire Departments. James Parish government effectively merged the operating districts of the areas of Lutcher & Paulina, Grand Point, Belmont into one consolidated district to which to newly formed St. James Volunteer Fire Department now provides service.
