Your 15U Pirates stayed hot last night with a commanding 11-1 win over the Newburgh Red Storm, pushing their Fall record to 5-2.

Smooth Mike Notaro started on the bump and was pristine, throwing 6.0 innings, striking out 7 and not allowing a single earned run. Sandman came on in relief in the 7th and hurled gas, striking out 2 and securing the win.

The Boys pounded out 8 hits and ran wild on the bases with 14 stolen bags. The Squad will be back in action this weekend at home against the 9ERS on Saturday and LaGrange on Sunday.

Your 15U Pirates pushed their Fall League record to 4-2 tonight with a 6-3 win over the NorthStar Naturals. The Squad pounded out 9 hits and swiped 5 bags on the evening.

The pitchers kept NorthStar in check combining to allow only 3 earned runs by scattering 4 hits over 6 innings. Three separate Pirate pitchers combined to record 8 strikeouts on the evening.

With tonight’s win the Boys are tied for first place, and will be back in action Tuesday against Newburgh.

Your 14U Pirates closed out their Summer Season with a bang this weekend at the NYEB Bomb Squad Classic. After a rough 0-2 pool play day on Saturday, the Pirates bounced back and won 3 straight games today scoring 22 runs and only allowing 6.

The Boys, carried by solid pitching, timely hitting and sparkling team defense, beat the Redhawks in Game 1, 4-0. The Squad followed that performance with a big 11-2 W over the LaGrange Lumberjacks in Game 2 to earn a spot in the Consolation Chip Game against a very tough Sticks Northeast team.

The Boys kept the game close, but found themselves trailing 4-2 heading into the top of the 7th. The Squad was all heart and battled in the 7th to score 5 and take a 7-4 lead. Sandman came on in the bottom of the 7th throwing gas and picked up the Save without allowing a run.

The Squad will take some much needed rest before winding down the year with a short Fall Season where they move to 15U. This team is the embodiment of hard work, camaraderie and team baseball. The heart and pride with which they play the game is infectious.

Your 14U Patterson Pirates were victorious in their quarterfinal League playoff game Monday night in a nail-biting back and forth affair against the NorthStar Naturals.

The Boys jumped out to a 4-0 lead early, but NorthStar battled back and the Squad trailed 9-8 heading into the bottom of the 7th inning. However, a few hits and a few walks loaded the bases when Bones walked to force in the tying run. Then, with one out and tied in the 7th, Stick plated the walkoff winning run after a crucial wild pitch by NorthStar.

The bats stayed hot with the Boys pounding out 8 hits, including a big double from Big Country who also picked up a multi-hit day. The aggressiveness continued as the Squad racked up 12 stolen bases in the game; while 4 pitchers combined to lock down the win for the Pirates.

The Boys will play the winner of the Westchester Heat and New Rochelle Knights in the semifinals, which will most likely take place this Friday evening. Stay tuned for details.

Your 14U Pirates beat the Mount Pleasant Colonials 11-6 in the first round of the League playoffs and will now move to the quarter-finals to face the NorthStar Naturals.

The Boys came from behind to overcome a 3-0 deficit by pounding out 12 hits with big doubles by Sandman and Stick. Seth and BB combined to allow only 2 earned runs over 7.0 innings while striking out 6. The Squad was aggressive on the bases swiping 8 bags with Bones (3), No-Ro (2), Smooth (2) and Stick all grabbing sb’s.

As the higher seed, the Boys hope to play as early as Monday night at home at Peckham Field. Stay tuned!

Your 14U Pirates pushed their Summer League record to 6-0 with a decisive 10-0 win over Pine Plains tonight. Over the course of the past two games, the Boys have outscored their opponents 25-0.

Seth Reinosa started and tossed a complete game shutout, throwing 6.0 innings and striking out 6 without allowing a run. The bats stayed hot as the Boys pounded out 12 hits, including doubles by Aiden, No-No, Seth and Slim Jim. Stick (3), Big Country (2), Aiden (2) and Seth (2) all had multi-hit nights. The team swiped 8 bags including a two-swipe evening for Stick.

The defense rounded it out without committing a single error. The Boys will take the Fourth of July weekend off to rest up and back in action next Tuesday against the Renegades.

Your 14U Pirates, after a fun weekend at Ripken in Aberdeen, pushed their Summer League record to 5-0 with a 15-0 win over the Brookfield Grit.

BB Gangi hurled 5.0 innings without surrendering a single earned run, striking out 5. The Squad picked up 11 hits with doubles by Bones and No Ro. Big Country, Co-Co, Slim Jim, BB and Bones all had multi-RBI nights.

The defense was slick, capped by this double play by best buds Crazy Legs and Bones. With no outs in the bottom of the 4th with runners on the corners, Bones made the play in center and fired to Crazy Legs to catch the runner trying to tag. Watch Crazy with the the barehanded grab off the bad hop. Atta boy! We’ve got a guy!

The Boys are back in action tomorrow night at 6PM away against Pine Plains.

Your 14U Patterson Pirates continued their hot start to Summer League play with a stunning 4-2 come-from-behind win against a tough Fairfield County Captains team. The Boys used consistent pitching, slick defense and timely hitting to grab the win.

BB Gangi started on the bump for the Pirates and tossed 4.0 slick innings, scattering 4 hits, while allowing only 2 earned runs. BB was followed by Bryce “Is Right” Reilly who hurled 3.0 scoreless innings, striking out 2. The defense was slick behind their pitchers with sparkling plays across the diamond.

The bats were quiet early, but notched 5 hits, including knocks by Bryce, Slim Jim Thompson, Stick Middlebrook (2) and Big Country Kuhlmann. The Boys were chasing a 2-0 deficit in the bottom of the 6th, when they tied it with a double steal scoring No-No Debernardi. Then, with the game tied 2-2, with runners on second and third and 2 outs, the Stick Man doubled off the fence in right center plating Smooth Mike and Bryce is Right.

The defense locked it down in the top of the 7th and the Boys took home the W. The Squad plays again next Tuesday at home against the Kent White Sox and then off to Ripken Aberdeen in Maryland for another tourney.
