This gym may look simple, but it represents something much bigger.

With the help of a small loan and ongoing mentorship, this business has grown into a space where people come not just to train—but to build discipline, confidence, and community.

Out of respect for privacy, the owner has chosen to remain anonymous. But their impact is visible in every corner of this space—in the equipment, in the energy, and in the people showing up each day.

From the very beginning, Ed Kennedy has been a steady force behind Khuba Worldwide Association’s growth.

As a Founding Director and our first Chairman, Ed helped lead the early grassroots work that brought KWA’s vision to life — shaping the structure and strategy that continue to guide our mission today.

With more than 40 years of experience turning complex challenges into practical, people-centered solutions, Ed has spent his career helping organizations thrive. As a consultant, leadership coach, and business owner, he has partnered with schools, state agencies, and communities to create environments that are safer, smarter, and more sustainable.

That same spirit drives his work at KWA: empowering individuals around the world through micro-loans and mentorship that create lasting, generational change.

Married to his wife, Jen, for 52 years, Ed is a proud father, grandfather, and soon-to-be great-grandfather — and a firm believer that investing in people multiplies impact.
