People may ask, why are we restarting CDA locally to Paso Robles and the answer is simple, The Paso Robles chapter of the California Deer Association (CDA) represents a new generation of conservation leadership on the Central Coast one rooted in community, stewardship, and education. As a newly established chapter, our mission is to build strong local connections while promoting responsible land use and long-term habitat sustainability.
Our primary focus is youth outreach, ensuring that the next generation understands not only the value of wildlife and natural spaces, but also their role in protecting them. Through hands-on programs, educational events, and mentorship opportunities, we aim to inspire young people to become active stewards of the environment.
In addition to education, our chapter is committed to meaningful public land improvements. We are actively developing projects that enhance habitat quality, support biodiversity, and contribute to conservation efforts across the Central Coast. This includes ongoing and future work within the Los Padres National Forest, as well as other local public lands, where we plan to collaborate with agencies, volunteers, and community partners to maintain and restore these vital ecosystems.
Community involvement is at the heart of everything we do. By engaging local residents, land users, and outdoor enthusiasts, we hope to create a shared sense of responsibility for conservation. Whether through volunteer days, workshops, or public events, the Paso Robles CDA chapter is dedicated to building awareness and providing practical knowledge about land stewardship.
As we grow, our vision remains clear: to protect and enhance our natural landscapes while fostering a culture of conservation that will endure for generations to come.
