The 4th National Learning Stories conference is scheduled for this upcoming Saturday, October 2nd! SALSA recently announced that one of their keynote speakrs is Wendy Lee, one of the establishing researchers behind Learning Stories!
Ventura County uses Learning Stories as an assessment and story telling tool in many different early childhood platforms: throughout local early childhood programs, community college courses and as well as at the CSU Channel Islands Early Childhood program!

Wendy Lee is Director of the Educational Leadership Project in Aotearoa, New Zealand, where she helped establish Learning Stories as a national approach to assessment as part of the Te Whariki Curriculum Framework. Wendy has been involved in the field of early childhood education (ECE) for over 45 years as a teacher, tutor, lecturer, manager, professional development facilitator and researcher. Wendy is co-author of several books, including Learning Stories. Constructing Learner Identities in Early Education, and Understanding the Te Whariki Approach. Early Years Education in Practice.
