Just over 2 weeks to go! The weather has turned just in time to make you think Spring is coming. Adult volunteers will be needed, sign-up sheets coming soon! Marching Band kids will be assigned jobs. Let's make it a success!

***PARENTS - we could use a few extra volunteers as chaperones and to help make sure the hall is cleaned up afterwards. If you have time, consider helping out!

Are you ready for a fun evening with all your friends??

Once again the CHS Band Boosters Inc. will be hosting our annual Music Department Dance on February 27, 2026 at Venice on the Bay Community Hall from 7-10pm.

The CHS Music Department Dance is open to students enrolled in a CHS MUSIC PERFORMING ENSEMBLE:

Concert Band
Marching Band
Jazz Band
String Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra
Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and Evolve
Drama

Students may bring ONE (1) guest from outside of the Music Department if they wish. Each student must purchase their own ticket. No one may purchase a ticket for another student, unless it is for a guest. Guests must be current 7th or 8th grade students or high school students.

Students can purchase tickets with cash or check, made payable to the CHS Band Boosters. Students and parent(s)/guardian(s) must sign and submit the dance contract in order to attend. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from Mr. Rupp and/or Mrs. Brimhall.

It's cold outside so join us virtually from your warm living room tomorrow, 9 February! February's meeting is at 6pm, check your email on Monday for the link from Mr. Rupp. We will talk about the upcoming dance, the Spring Craft Show (yes, Spring will come eventually!), voting for Mr. Rupp for the Manilow award and other band-related items. Come and learn how you can help make the Chesapeake music community great for our kids!

This award recognizes outstanding music teachers who bring music to life for their students. The top vote recipient will receive $10,000—$5,000 in cash and $5,000 in Manilow Bucks to purchase instruments. Please vote daily and help spread the word! Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on Feb 12.
