Yesterday, the Parsons Lions Club collected 18 bags of trash along 4 miles of Rt. 38 in Tucker County. Fun fact: the Parsons Lions Club has done annual litter pick up along Rt. 38 as part of the Adopt-A-Highway program since 1990!!!

Lions Recycle for Sight.

Give the gift of sight by recycling your unwanted eyeglasses, readers and non-prescription sunglasses. Usable glasses give new life.

There are two Eyeglass collection boxes available, one is located inside of the St. George Pharmacy in Parsons. The other location is a smaller box located at the Tucker County Family Support Center, 104 Education Lane, Parsons.

December 17, 2024 - Parsons, WV
The Parsons Lions Club met Tuesday evening with the Lions Club District 29-I Governor Kim Mason. Members in attendance were Paul Nestor, Keith Lipscomb, Savannah Wilkins, Daniele Pennington and Nancy Moore. DG Kim Mason spoke on the importance of membership and shared encouraging stories regarding service to the community. At the meeting, the District Governor presented Nancy Moore with the Leonard Jarrett Award. Nancy has been a member of the lions club since 2013. She held the office of treasurer for 9 years and secretary for 2 years. Congratulations Nancy! If anyone is interested in joining the Parsons Lions Club, they meet monthly at B&J's Family Diner, the 3rd Tuesday of every month. The next meeting will be January 21st at 6 PM.
