Innovation is the key to solving our urban waste crisis.

Vivek R Musrif and his team at Echo Friendly Acoustics are redefining the circular economy by upcycling PET plastic waste into high performance insulation and acoustic panels. This early stage startup has already diverted 500 KG of plastic from landfills, replacing traditional petrochemical materials with sustainable and bio based alternatives.

By integrating renewable energy technologies into their production, they are providing India with its first cost competitive and eco friendly PU foam alternative. Environmental protection begins with simple and scalable action.
Nitesh Sachan and Earthaat Foundation are tackling the crisis of plastic waste at events across Kanpur and beyond. By providing steel utensils as part of their action projects, they have successfully avoided over 2.75 lakh single use plastic disposables.
This initiative is a powerful example of the circular economy in action. Their focus on vernacular communication ensures that climate resilient agriculture and renewable energy systems are understood at the grassroots level. Through consistent reuse practices, they have already prevented 4,346 kg of CO2 emissions while fostering local leadership in under-served communities.
