The Parkville Network: Our History

The Parkville Network was created to improve the lives of students in need at Parkville High School through the provision of food, clothing, educational supplies and other critical items.

The Parkville Network formed in the spring of 2017 with the creation of the Parkville Pantry, when space was cleared in a room and shelving was donated for the storage of food donated by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul through the Church of St. Ursula just up the road. Hundreds of cans and boxes of food were donated. In August of that year, Empower4life, a group assisting students living in homeless shelters, organized a major drive for toiletries and clothing for Parkville High School, resulting in two truckloads of donations for the school.

Volunteers organize and stock new donations every week, and students are taken by staff to visit the Pantry. The Parkville Network also stocks food in school offices and toiletries in the Guidance Office Suite. The Parkville Network’s funding is administered through the Student Support Network, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.
