The Parkers Prairie Speech team finished up another busy week.

A few of the speakers participated in the MN Online Speech Series #4 this past week. They performed quite well with 2️⃣ freshmen advancing to finals & Izzy Langager winning the championship in Great Speeches.
Results:
- Izzy Langager was the champion in Great Speeches.
- Jayme O’Brien finished in 4th place in both Prose & Drama.
- Kellen O’Brien finished in 6th place in Creative Expression.
- Mya Adickes finished in 5th place in Original Oratory.
- Bode Wagner finished in 3rd in the Next-In Finals Creative.
- Breanna Pexsa & Landon Hermanson finished 7th in the Next-In Duo Finals.
- Henry Langager finished 7th in the Next-In Duo Finals.

Thursday night was Family & Friends Night for the team. After a great potluck, 1️⃣7️⃣ speakers put their talents on display.

Today, the team made their way to Bertha-Hewitt. There were 1️⃣0️⃣ schools & 1️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ speakers competing. It was a very good week for the Langagers & Great Speeches, as Izzy’s brother, Henry, won his first varsity championship. Jayme O’Brien took home the championship in 2️⃣ categories & Mya Adickes took home the gold in Original Oratory. The team took 🥈2nd place behind tournament champions Perham.

Recently the LEO club donated $350 to the students that will be traveling to Washington D.C. for the Close Up trip. The Central Minnesota Whitetails organization donated $800 to the trap team today. They donated to several local schools to promote youth outdoor activities.
