This weekend marked my last one at Camp Wilderness, and my heart is so full… and a little broken at the same time.
This place has been more than just a camp to me—it’s been a home. A place filled with laughter, growth, challenges, and so many unforgettable moments. The Scouts and leaders who pass through here each year are what make it truly special. Watching you grow, lead, and find your place in the outdoors has been one of the greatest honors of my life.
To the staff and volunteers—there are no words big enough. You give your time, your energy, your hearts, and so much of yourselves to make this place what it is. You are the magic behind Camp Wilderness, and I am endlessly grateful to have been part of this team.
Thank you to everyone who came to my going away party. I felt so loved and so lucky to be surrounded by this community one more time.
While this chapter is closing, I’m not going far. Park Rapids is still home, and I’m so excited to continue supporting Camp Wilderness in new ways—just from a different trailhead.
Never forget—Camp Wilderness isn’t just a place. It’s your home. It’s your camp. And it’s the people who fill it with life that make it unforgettable.
See you on the trail 🤍
