Growth requires partnership.

CAB Studios & Recs. (Community Arts and Business) began with a focused vision in Park Forest — centered on economic activation, youth programming, and corridor revitalization. The village has released a RFP and has not included us. So as they advance with there plans we have to do the same for ours.

Other location like the former movie theater, and the site located at 90 S. Orchard have been proposed but won't give us the foot/vehicle traffic we need for this facility. So while plans on the Lincoln Highway site seem as if they are over, our mission isn't.

We will build this community anchors.
We will activate small business and expand opportunity.
We strengthen regional ecosystems.

While we want Park Forest to be our hub and focus, at this time it is 3250 Lincoln HWY is our former focus.
The South Suburbs are our main focus.

Communities prepared to move forward will move forward with us.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. — a visionary leader, organizer, and lifelong champion for justice, dignity, and opportunity.

Through the creation of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, Rev. Jackson built a model centered on empowering communities through education, economic opportunity, youth development, and civic engagement. PUSH was never just about advocacy — it was about creating real pathways forward.

That mission closely mirrors the work we do at CAB Studios & Recs. Like PUSH, CAB exists to uplift young people, provide access to creative and recreational spaces, and equip the next generation with tools to lead, create, and thrive. Both are rooted in community, accountability, and the belief that investing in youth is how we build stronger futures.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and all those whose lives were shaped by his leadership.

CAB (Community Arts Business) is a youth-driven organization focused on arts, recreation, and learning — creating spaces where our community can grow, connect, and thrive.

What Is a TIF?
TIF stands for Tax Increment Financing. It’s a tool that allows new tax revenue created from development to be reinvested back into the community — helping support projects, programs, and improvements that benefit everyone.

This is how community investment turns into real opportunity.
