We are committed to our vision and bring that same commitment and passion in the facilitation of all our programs here at Wild Heart Sanctuary. We are believers of dreams, potentials and all that is possible for us as unique individual beings. The horses are our partners in this purpose. They are here to hold that space, to ground us in our visions and encourage us to live in alignment to our authentic self. There are many paths in life that are possible for us, many paths that can lead to the same destination. It’s our hope that we can provide the guidance you need to help you find clarity and connection to your unique path and that we can support you in following your heart and finding the purpose you most authentically align to.

This explains the corruption of the Wild Horse program very well. It breaks my heart that the wild horses & burros are being mis-managed to extinction😢💔

We got our last hay delivery last night, barn is full and our hearts our grateful for all your generous support. 1200 bales should last us through the winter. Gives us peace of mind to know the wild heart herd will have yummy hay until next June🤎🙏🐴

Lieutenant Stallion, Curly calling his Lead Stallion Josh! “Come to the back field, I have Ladies (Mares) there!” They are such a dynamic duo!

Nothing the like sound of wild horses running! Feels like it synchronizes with your heart beat.

“I feel as if Curly is looking into my soul” Curly has been with us for less then two months, yet he has already blossomed into the intuitive, four legged shaman he has always been. There is something deeply peaceful about being in his presence-something that gently quiets the mind, softens the heart, and helps the nervous system relax.
When we breathe together, our heartbeats synchronize, creating a quiet exchange of trust, peace and love. Sitting by him on Mother Earth, receiving her grounding embrace, makes the moment feel even more magical and healing. We are so grateful for you Curly—for your gentle spirit, your wisdom, and the extraordinary gifts you bring by being exactly who you are. 💗🙏🐴

There is something profoundly moving about standing among these wild horses—seeing their strength, resilience, and spirit up close through my lens.

I recently had the privilege of spending time with the incredible herd at Wild Heart Horse Sanctuary, a nonprofit refuge dedicated to giving America’s wild horses a second chance.

The horses in these photographs, in order, are:

🤍 Miss Bliss – Born free in the wild, Miss Bliss experienced only three months of freedom before she and her mother, Grace, were chased for miles by BLM helicopters during a roundup. It’s remarkable that she survived such a traumatic ordeal at such a young age

🤍 Tahoma – A beautiful three-year-old filly who was rounded up at just six months of age.

🤍 Josh Allen – A Utah Wild Mustang rescued from an Oklahoma kill pen after he courageously escaped the unimaginable fate of being loaded onto a slaughter truck bound for Mexico.

Each of these horses carries a story of survival, resilience, and hope. It was an honor to photograph them and witness the important work being done to protect them.

Please join us at Safn Haus Art Gallery on August 15th-6-8:00PM as we host a special event benefiting Wild Heart Horse Sanctuary. Your support helps provide these magnificent animals with safety, care, and the chance to live the lives they deserve.

Wow. This brings me so much joy—watching Curly Casanova and Josh Allen express their wild stallion spirits through sparring.

Josh spent 18 years working hard for the Amish, while Curly lived for years in a small dirt pen, with people continually trying to train him.

But as you can see, the innate wildness of a wild heart cannot be taken away. Both of these incredible stallions have rewilded and naturally embraced the roles of lead stallion and lieutenant stallion—just as they might in the wild.

It is an honor to witness them return to who they have always been.

Wild hearts cannot be broken. Their innate souls cannot be taken away. 🤎
