Come see us this Saturday at the Altmar Fish Hatchery Open House from 9-3:30.

Join DEC and local conservation organizations at the 27th Annual Open House at Salmon River Fish Hatchery in Altmar, NY (Oswego County). Enjoy rare, behind-the-scenes tours with hatchery staff (the only day we offer these to the public!), tie a fly with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing volunteers, and go on a sensory nature walk with Oswego Soil & Water Conservation District. There will also be food available in support of the Altmar Volunteer Fire Department.

Guests will also have an opportunity to talk with representatives from Tug Hill Commission, Tug Hill Tomorrow, Trout Unlimited, Oswego County Federation of Sportsman, National Turkey Federation, St. Lawrence and Eastern Lake Ontario PRISMs, and more!

Today, we remember.
Twenty‑five years later, we honor those who lost their lives, the survivors who carry the weight of that day, the families forever changed, and the responders who ran toward danger with unwavering courage.

We also recognize the search‑and‑rescue teams and the K‑9 partners who worked tirelessly in the aftermath—whose dedication, skill, and heart became symbols of hope when hope was hardest to find.

NASAR remains committed to the same principles that guided so many on 9/11: service, preparedness, and the belief that every effort matters when lives are at stake.

May this day be one of reflection, gratitude, and quiet remembrance.
