I love these updates! Eliza (now Sandy) arrived on our last flight and has landed herself an amazing home ❤️ Wally, the little dachshund rescued by Plush Bear, Newt (who’s mom was rescued by Plush Bear) , and Pearl (who we had in the group of 22 this past year), have all accepted Sandy into their family ❤️ Sandy was also rescued by Plush Bear Shelter ❤️

Huge thanks to all who have donated to help fly so many deserving dogs to safety. Seeing them happy in their homes is amazing! ❤️❤️

Sweet Ella is back from yesterday’s surgery. It’s amazing that Dr. Hanson was able to get her leg so straight. She’s doing well and is happy to be resting ❤️🥰
I’ll continued to update. We’ve been able to raise 1/3 of the cost for surgery. Any donations made will go to the rest. Thank you!

Ella is a beautiful whippet who was rescued in China. We were asked to take her in and luckily had room on our last flight.
Ella was on a breeding “farm” in China and definitely had puppies at some point. She also broke her leg and no surprise, never received treatment. I can’t imagine what she went through.
She is the happiest little girl and even though it’s an old break, our amazing surgeon feels that he can help her. He did wonders with Melissa so we feel confident that she will be in great hands.
These surgeries can be anywhere from $3000 - $6000.
We are still trying to financially recover from the last flight and could use help with Ella’s surgery expenses.
She is scheduled for surgery on April 5.

Here they are!! Everyone is safe, sound, and happy!

It took 14 months, but they are all here!
All of the dogs that we had committed to before Covid, and then a few extras ❤️

Flights finally started in August, but I was really afraid of the cost. I honestly didn’t see how we could get the dogs here.
Then came my dear friends with Greyhound Adoptions of Florida to help us get the ball rolling with our first flight, and continued through all 5 flights. For those who don’t know GAF, their founder, Marilyn Varnberg is my hero. I’ve been in awe of her and all that she’s done for greyhounds for years. She gave me the courage to fight hard for the dogs when nobody would speak up for them. She is truly an angel on Earth and the dogs are so lucky to have her, and her amazing group of greyhound guardians❤️

As always, thanks to EVERYONE who donated! It really took a village, amd a lot of donations!!
