Hamazkayin of NJ Arekag Chorus had the honor of performing at the April 24 Armenian Genocide Commemoration, under the direction of Dr. Vagharshag Ohanyan, sharing songs rooted in remembrance, reflection, and resilience.

Through music, we remember. We honor. We carry forward the voices, stories, and history that must never be forgotten. These moments are not just performances - they are a way of staying connected to our roots and ensuring that our culture and identity continue to live on.

Preserving Armenian heritage isn’t something that happens once a year - it lives in our language, our music, and in the younger generations who continue to learn and carry it forward.

Only 3 weeks away until our very first performance of the year for the Vehapar’s visit! 🇦🇲🎶

We continue to learn the deeper meanings of the songs we sing - reviewing each word and phrase, connecting with our history, and growing together through music. We’re so excited to share everything we’ve been working on at our upcoming concert on November 14th! ❤️

Week 5 of rehearsals brought something truly special! 🎶❤️

We were honored to welcome Ungh. Hermine Avagyan - Executive Director of the Hamazkayin Artsakh Office, writer, novelist, and poet - who visited our rehearsal to meet our members, share inspiring words, and listen to our choir in action.

It was a meaningful evening that reminded us why we sing our beautiful Armenian songs - to preserve our culture, connect with one another, and embrace our ancestral history through music. 🇦🇲
