Jake first traveled to Nicaragua in 2008 with his home church. During the summer of 2014, Jake connected with a Nicaraguan school principal, Gioconda Ordonez. She dreamed about starting a school baseball program at her school in Condega, Nicaragua, a city in northern Nicaragua. Her wish was the program would serve as an outlet for young men in the area—to remove them from the streets and present an opportunity to hear the gospel.

Moving forward, one of our main goals is to build new and expand existing baseball infrastructure. Pictured here is a batting cage we completed in 2017. This was the first batting cage in northern Nicaragua and the largest in the country.

One of our favorite things about 1&1 is partnering with businesses local to Nicaragua and Colombia to source baseballs, bats, and gloves! Here is an example of some of our custom baseballs made in Nicaragua. The business ships throughout Central America!⚾️⚾️⚾️

More news! Over the past year, we established a relationship with a group in Barranquilla, Colombia! We are sending supplies to supplement their existing programs. 1and1 looks forward to continued growth and expansion opportunities throughout Colombia! One Game. One Team. One World.

Hey everyone! Exciting projects kept us busy over the past few months. First, we want to share our newest location Achuapa, Nicaragua. With the help of many community leaders, we established and supported a league. Thanks to everyone who made this happen! One Game. One Team. One World.

It's been a busy month for our team in Nicaragua. The boys are continuing to play in their league and are doing fairly well. Most importantly, they are loving to play the game and traveling across the state of Estelí. Thanks to our donors, the children are gaining experiencing they never could have imagined. Thank you all for your continued support and prayers. We look forward to keeping you updated!
